We welcomed two new hens and a male into the aviary today. We couldnt be more excited to have these gorgeous birds. 🥰 Slowly rebuilding and working on our future. Better photos to follow once they get settled in.

We have two hens nesting again. The birds seem to be very happy back in their aviary. We will still be retaining any and all offspring until further notice, but it is exciting that the birds are showing courtship signs and are nesting. Two pairs is a lot less than we are used to, but we will build back up over time. 💜🥰

The aviary is completely back together and functioning and the birds have been moved back in. They seem so much happier to be home and Im beyond relieved. 💜

I will not have any babies or birds ready to leave for a while. We lost half our birds to an animal getting into their temporary cage and killing them tonight. We are extremely torn up and Im bawling my eyes out as I clean up the mess right now. I cannot express how upset I currently am. All birds are being retained until further notice.

We had someone extremely rude message our page while we are on vacation, making nasty comments about why we werent replying to messages yesterday. We are out of town camping, roughing it in tents- we have no service unless we go to a town. Sorry if we miss messages, its not our intent to ignore people. Please be patient until we return. 💜

This is our special needs fella, just relaxing at the feeder. He is missing a leg and enjoys lounging about. Hes been with us for around 6 years now and is one of our favorites. 💜

One of the newest babies decided to fly out of the nest and already figured out how to perch like the "big birds" lol. It was fast asleep and super cute.

For a limited time, we will be offering extra discounts!

We have placed an offer on a new home, and as such we will likely be moving in the next month or two. That means big changes for the birds and a lot of work ahead! During this, we will have to disassemble the aviary (removing birds, in this case) and putting them in safer, more easily transported small cages. The aviary itself is HEAVY and very difficult to move, and will need to be moved into a truck prior to signing for the new house and depending on timing, it may be a few days of transition. We would love for the young offspring to go to new aviaries prior to this, to make everything that much easier (and have less birds to set up in smaller cages). Its a community effort to raise chicks. The ultimate red mom is pictured below, while one of my blue hens is in the nest with the ultimate red dad, helping feed the babies.

I need to find homes for some of these Ultimate Reds soon, this pair is extremely prolific 🤣
