Hi folks! Long post ahead....bear with me 😆. Sorry I have been MIA from the page for so long. Finding work-life balance, raising/training dogs, and running a breeding program = no time for social media so I let the page go between litters. If you've gotten our autoreply i set last year, I do apologize but we are continuing to take time off from puppies for the time being. We will get back into it but cannot give a timeline or exact plan at this time. In the last 2 years, we've said goodbye to several dogs. Our oldest (retired) lady is still pretty spry but starting to show her age. Our other female, we are just not sure if we will breed anytime soon but i've thoroughly enjoyed seeing her pups grow up. Her G litter is doing fantastic and i have a phone full of pics and videos....i need to do a photo dump on here soon 🥰. I am proud of every one of their owners giving them their all and helping them reach their maximum potential.
For years i have dreamed of having a building dedicated to training and litters. That dream may soon become a reality 🤞. Over the last few months, we have been drawing up plans for a future training/whelping building/kennel combo which will open up a lot of doors down the road. It will make raising litters much more feasible than how we've done things the last 8 years (possibly allowing us to hold on to some of our sanity by the 8 week mark 😆). It will even allow for small-scale boarding of past/future pups one day. We will be posting our older dog building as available soon which will make a great whelping building or dog house (insulated and air conditioned) for anyone interested.
We also have had a lot of water/drainage issues on our property that have taken years to tackle but we are almost there. Once the final phase is done this spring/ summer (if it will ever dry out with this neverending rain), we will be able to fence in the back acre in the next year or 2, which will be a super space for training. All in due time 🙏.
About 6 months ago, we had the opportunity to bring in a long coat, all black, handsome and loving Polish import male. It was an impulse decision after losing one of our girls but something about him pulled at my heart strings. He was 18 months old when he got here. Super disposition and had been with a loving family that just was not able to keep him anymore due to an ailing family member. He has been everything i could have hoped for and more. We had to start with the basics with his training and he had a luxated tail injury that took a bit to heal, but he's doing amazing. He is low drive, sweet as can be, and has the disposition for therapy work. Will eventually like to use him for our program....key word being eventually since our plans are up in the air. We completed his health testing 2 weeks ago and he has passed everything with flying colors. We will go for some basic obedience/temperament testing over the next few months if all goes well.
In regards to future litters, we are evaluating our program goals and will start to look at a potential new female addition....low on the priority scale right now. In the future, we will be moving towards long coats only, which have become my passion ❤️.
Thanks for reading if you kept up with it all. I know I used to post all the time and I've had the sweetest friends checking in to make sure all is well. Hope the above explains why we just don't have time for the page anymore, but I will try to do better 😁. Mini photo dump below of our new male and some projects we are tackling.
