It might be Fall, but this little momma hatched eggs in a storage tote behind the shed.
Listen for cuteness! π
While taking the eggs and putting them in for lockdown, I had two early pippers! They normally don't pip (use their beak to break thru the shell) for about 3 more days! I love hearing the little chirps through the egg. This little one came out about 2 hours later and was running around like wild!

The ladies have some demands - or they will strike β±οΈ
I know my chicken egg orders have slowed down immensely. Here is a video why-
βοΈ It's 121Β° in the Shade
βοΈ I don't keep my chickens locked in small areas and my chickens vary in age (egg laying capabilities)
βοΈ They are just trying to survive. The eggs get wet from the hose and mister, I'm not legally allowed to sell them since I'm certified
βοΈ My daughter and I go out every 45 minutes, refill all 59 waterers, 6 pools, 9 buckets, 4 trays
βοΈ Every 45 minutes we also spray down the runs, give frozen treats, bring chickens inside that are having a hard time
π This is an all day, can't go anywhere process. We also have to spray the runs down at night to keep the temperature cool enough. July and August are awful, especially for my business as I go in the hole even more with less sales and lose some of my precious babies.
π©· I hope everyone is understanding and patient with us. I know it's frustrating and I love all of my customers and want to get you your chicken eggs. It should get better in soon.
Getting the daily gossip from the Geese. They always have the juicy details
If you struggle with depression or anxiety, get yourself some geese. They exhibit so much love and snuggles and always are excited to see their momma (me). I had a migraine for awhile and had to lay down, came out to check on them at almost 10pm and they come running πππ
Watch BubbleCup lay an egg! At 5 seconds you see it plop out. You might have to rewind and look explicitly for it (I tried to do an angle that wasn't to "graphic") πππ
π£ New series! π€ introducing different types of chicks we have hatched on our farm. Today is a little Cream Puff of a chick.
