Please run out to support this very caring young man. He is supporting WFCC and we all want to reward him and his mom for giving back.

Our lemonade stand is live! Please stop by at 188 Mishawum Rd. (parking on Rumford Pk). We have iced tea, lemonade and tons of snacks. My son has put a lot of effort into this, so even stopping by to say hello would help. 🙂

Shout out to all of you who sent donations either monetary or through Amazon and Chewy. Thank you Sarah G, CWC and Heather J, Sonia, Tom L, Laura, Vicki!!! WFCC has been inundated with cats in urgent need and constant medical bills. Between cats stuck in trees to stray and injured cats that just keep coming as well as helping owners who had to surrender their cats due to inability to afford treatment we are up to our ears in cats. We appreciate the community support, wonderful adopters and our dedicated although exhausted volunteers. Thank you 😻 Here is another happy tail: Ferryway who went home today with his new mom Christina. Happy Life Ferryway😻😻😻

GRIFFIN found the perfect home with Crissy and Pete D.❤❤
*****
Griffin was trapped in Malden with a severely fractured arm. He'd been seen struggling for months before we were contacted to help him. Once trapped, he received vet care and an amputation of his front left leg.
We'll never know how he sustained his injury, but once he came to safety it was LOVE all the way. The Griffin fan club can smile knowing his future is happy and bright. Thank you all for sending Churu, supplies and donations for this fine young kitty. I'm sure he knows how loved he is. These are good friends who were looking for the perfect cat. He's going to be adored and spoiled! He'll be living locally and we'll get UPDATES!

(Don't worry about his buddy Ferryway. We'll pop great news about him soon too. Magic in the air. )

Shout out to Alyssa who saw the first blk cat and got him help. And to Pat the foreman and the Woburn Fire Dept who saw the second cat in opposite tree. Thank you Maryann for the water and pizza. We didn’t realize how hungry and depleted we all were until we smelled pizza. 😃Thank you Andrew and Ali for spending all your time on hot day saving cats. You all Rock and we are all better off knowing you. 😻😻😻

Brief update as all involved are exhausted. Andrew secured black cat and Siamese jumped during transfer into carrier. Both were terrified cats and clearly had been through ordeal. We are going to work on getting Siamese. But she ran towards Charles st area. If anyone sees her please let us know. Andrew spent all day trying rescue these cats and if you want to donate to help him to be able to continue to help please send to his Venmo acct Andrew-Joslin-4. More info and video to come.

Unbelievable:
There are two cats stuck in different trees. A Siamese and blk cat. This is much more difficult for Andrew. We were only aware of one cat. Please send him positive thoughts. In this heat or is difficult climbing.

Update : Andrew going out today to rescue cat. We will inform you once cat is safe.

Young black cat stuck in tree in Woodbrook cemetery . Neighbor spotted him yesterday but crying getting weaker so may have been up long time. If anyone missing cat near Francis st nursing home or Salem st area please let us know. We have reached out to tree expert but waiting confirmation.

Happy Tails post! these two siblings T and T were adopted to a loving home where there was already a senior resident cat who had lost her other senior friend recently. She was depressed and missing her pal as well as her family was. Cheryl and Len had tough decision to make about adopting. They fell in love with these two sibs and decided to make the slow introduction to their senior girl. Well it was a big success!! The whole family is happy with the transition and are adjusting to their loss as well. Thank you for adopting and giving another two cats a loving safe home.😻😻😻😻

Congratulations to Kevin (The cow kitty) and his amazing new family.
Found as a stray, Kevin will be smothered with love forever after. Once settled in, he'll join a cat sister Dixie.
Kevin is a sweet boy with an amazing, friendly personality. ❤
When Lauren saw Kevin on my FB page, she knew he was the cat for her! I couldn't even get her to look at my other foster cats. She just knew they were a match. I love the connection they made. Kevin dashed my trap once, but 2 weeks later surrendered to safety.
Get the Churu ready. This boy will be spoiled!

Happy Tails!!! Wishing you the best life Kiwi now Mia! 😻😻😻

Kiwi's missing kitten brought our WFCC team to Malden 10/1/23. A man brought 4 kittens to Woburn police department in a trash barrel. He had found 5 kittens in his rental property, but the last one had escaped him.
The following afternoon when Lori, Elaine and I went searching in Malden for a lost kitten, we weren't even aware of a mom cat. It was a needle in the haystack kind of search party. We fortunately somehow located Kiwi on day one, but knowing a kitten was on the run, we couldn't remove her from the scene.
What a complicated mess of a story followed, but it was 3 weeks of moving cameras and feeding stations before our bright yellow signs were seen by a DCR employee who text our first kitten sighting. We were truly losing hope of ever finding the kitten. A week later we trapped the baby, and then Kiwi. The rest is history.
Kiwi arrived understandably a bit edgy, as she had protected and cared for 5 kittens outdoors. Over 7 months in foster care she calmed down and became a sweet indoor only cat. She'll be happy to leave the confines of a small foster room with too much male energy. A single kitty lifestyle is so deserved.
Today, Kiwi left with Susan who was excited to adopt this pretty spotted tabby girl. She's stocked up on Churu to ease the transition. Susan and her daughter Christina are cat savvy women, used to kitties who need a little extra time and TLC...and Churu. Susan plans to change her name to Mia. We love the name for her new beginning.
What a happy milestone day this is.
Congratulations to Susan and Mia!
In the photos are adoption day, Our first sighting of Kiwi and the DCR photo of Kiwi with her baby which was the best photo ever!

Missing Cat Please check cameras and report sightings to WFCC

Please be on the lookout in wade ave area of Woburn for Natalie. She is indoor cat who got out of house and has been missing for almost two weeks. She would more than likely hide under shed or decks close to home as she is nervous cat. She is spayed and 2 yrs old. Please contact us if you spot her. Do not try to pick up she is too frightened.

WFCC update: Our hard working, exhausted volunteers have been busy working on helping our community cats. Rescues everywhere are seeing an uptick of abandoned pets. We are currently working on new areas and older areas where new cats have started coming regularly clearly hungry and frightened. This is putting a huge strain on us financially and our ability to foster cats in need. WFCC will be putting together an online fundraiser with lots of fun, really awesome items so please stay tuned and continue to support our cause. It takes a village!

Missing cat, Stoneham

Dini (Houdini) escaped his home in area of Cotation Avenue on Monday, 04/29. He is 16yo, indoor-only, very sweet, hard of hearing, and greatly missed. He is, most likely, very frightened and unsure of being outdoors; so, if seen, do not chase or call out to him. Please call his mom with any sightings, 781-727-6112, and, if able, snap a photo.

Please share.
