Class will cost $50 a person and will include taking home your processed rabbit.

We will go over different methods of dispatching, skinning, and gutting as well as packaging.

Unfortunately the breeder of my new boar received DNA back and he is unable to be registered as the sire is not who they thought it was. I will be offering this sweet little boar up for sale, still young enough to be castrated.

Time to thin the Muscovy flock out!

If you are interested in Muscovy’s I have an assortment of hens and drakes available in different colors! I have had great luck with these birds as far as egg production and hatching their own ducklings in the spring. I do not clip their wings and they free range 90% of the time sticking around and roosting in trees. They are great duck to have around and not as messy as other breeds, I have also heard they are good eating 😉

This morning I opened up my water glassed eggs I did on April 4th of last year, almost a year later and still as fresh as can be!

What is waterglassing?

Water glassing eggs involves submerging clean, unwashed, eggs in a pickling lime and water solution to seal off the shell and preserve them for 12-18 months. The result is perfectly fresh, unspoiled eggs, just like they were the day the hen laid them.

Raising livestock is the best and worst thing in my life. No matter how many times you loose an animal it never gets easier. It was a short two months with you Ice but you were the bestest and sweetest boy.

I pray for your healthy babies to be born this spring to carry on your legacy and fill your spot here with us.

The KuneKunes finally got their own pen to themselves! We built at 48x20 enclosure the other day and will be adding another hog hut. This is making feeding so much easier instead of separating goats at night, and not to mention less clean up in the goat shed! 🙌🏻
