1/22/25 10:45 a.m. Update: We are waiting for the final water test results to come back before we lift the boil advisory. We are hoping to hear back within the next 12-24 hours. Thank you for your patience!
Update: All Woodbine residents on City water are under a boil advisory until further notice.
We are issuing a Boil Water Advisory for our water customers that have experienced low to no water pressure due to the water main break on 8th and Normal Street. Our crews are currently on-site to complete the repair and restore water to all impacted customers.
There has been no confirmed contamination of the system; however, because of the loss of pressure a slight potential that bacteriological contamination may exist. As a precautionary measure we are issuing this advisory. Water customers in the impacted area should vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking until test results come back. Any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes. Do not give the water to infants.
The boil water advisory is a precautionary measure to protect public health until test results confirm the water is safe to drink. Because the water quality is unknown at this time customers are urged to take appropriate precautions.
We will continue to post updates here.
