Sometimes you get a product and it’s everything plus more than what you were expecting. I’m obsessed with mohair cinches and have owned several. I contacted Longhope Farm & Fiber about making a custom cinch to match Novas mane. She was so pleasant to talk with and prompt to get back with me. Not only did she absolutely nail the color but this is the nicest mohair cinch I’ve ever received. This is not a paid sponsorship (I wish!) just a really happy customer. Day 3 finals. We unfortunately came in 5th place but regardless of where we placed I’m so stinking proud of my girl. For her first show I’d say she did great!

Na’vi day 2, Smokey Mountain trail challenge novice horse division. This run was a little rough she gave so much try but was unfortunately pretty clumsy with her feet and took a pretty bad misstep on the hill but we are tied for third overall. We qualified for finals and are excited to show tomorrow!

Na’vi day 1 Smokey Mountain Trail Challenge, novice horse division. For sure some bobbles with touching the obstacles and she got a little distracted at the gate but overall I’m extremely proud! First horse show and only the second time being stalled. 🥰

LC Lakota Rowdy 409 2020 AQHA Bay Roan Gelding

Kota is a 4yo 15.1h AQHA bay roan gelding bred by Lost Creek Cattle Company. Blue Valentine bred on the top and bottom. He’s a big stout guy and still has some growing to do. He’s a very affectionate gelding, gets along with everyone, mares and geldings. He has had 60 days under saddle and for a discounted price we would love to continue his education. He’s been hauled to cowboy mounted shooting practice, ridden in open fields and on trails, started tracking a steer dummy. Will lead or follow, doesn’t mind other horses on his tail. Meet Peaches 🍑 ADOPTED

Peaches is as cute as they come! She’s an adorable 2yo 13.3H (string test to 14.2H) strawberry roan mustang from Salt Wells, WY. She’s currently in the TIP program. She can be haltered, she leads, loads into a trailer, and picks up all four feet! She was the first mustang to get adopted from my last load but unfortunately her adopter backed out right as she was supposed to go home. Once she warms up to you she loves to be groomed and occasionally see if she can steal your ball cap😆 currently located in Bowling Green, KY. DM for more information. Adoption fee $1️⃣2️⃣5️⃣

At this time the only mustang available from the last load is this adorable 2yo dun from Divide Basin, WY. He’s going to mature nice and thick. He’s got real nice thick legs, and beautiful primitive markings. The Blm dated him to be a fall foal so according to paperwork he just turned two this month. He’s been extremely quiet and friendly. Let me scratch his face and butt while he was in the trailer and through my panels when hanging up hay nets. He will be gentled through the TIP program. So what does a TIP horse have to do before they graduate the program?!

To meet TIP requirements the horse is able to be led, haltered, load into a trailer, groomed, and pick up its feet.

Always keep in mind your new mustang may take a little bit to warm up to their new handler and environment. It make take them a little time adjusting to preform the skills in the same way once they get home.

PENDING ADOPTION

When we say our TIP are adopted fast we aren’t kidding! Out of the four I picked up three were already spoken for by the end of the day! Currently all we have available is a 2yo leggy palomino from Salt Wells WY. It’s been raining off and on since we got home so I haven’t been able to do a whole lot with him but so far he’s seemed confident and calm. Hopefully I can take some better pictures soon but if you’re interested reach out!

Just a little update from the Hay Girls!! 🐴

As of right now I (Jenna) am in Mississippi learning from Michael Gascon, The Horse Guru. This has been the most amazing opportunity and I’m so happy I was chosen to participate in this competition. In the past month I have learned how to played soccer on horseback, learned new methods on how to teach horses obstacles, go swimming, push cows, be roped off of, and make better trail riding partners. I am also learning how to be a better human teacher by helping teach retreats and many more things!

I would like to say a big thank you to my partner for holding things down back in Kentucky! I know Audrey will be going to Ewing soon to pick up a new load of TIP mustangs, you know what that means so keep your eyes open!!!! They go FAST so if you see something you like message us! She has also bought two stunning Tennessee Walking Horses as projects to put under saddle and advance their skills. What a fun journey it will be to add some breed variety into our program!

For my competition at the Gascons I am putting two different horses under saddle and seeing how far I can advance them over the next few months. My first horse is a Quarter Horse filly bred by Lost Creek Quarter Horses. Her name is Theia, she is so smart and absolutely gorgeous.
Next, I have a Paso Fino stallion. His name is Maui he is extremely handsome and incredibly smart! These guys will be sold on an online auction at the end of our competition in December, so follow along and be a part of their journey! If you are interested in buying either of these horses don’t hesitate to reach out and ask questions about them!
