Maisie in her 3rd week of puppy primer !
Puppy’s attention span is not that long , but we can still work on chilling out when being surrounded by chickens . This week sh has done a lot of field trips even a walk in Laurelhurst park yesterday, heeling nicely and watching the world around her ( lots of dogs and people) and doing just that , watching and walking. Staying in our bubble whilst learning how to just be out in the world in a lovely calm way !

Happy Monday!
These two working on place this.
Fozzie getting a brush up and Maisie 6 months old learning for the first time . This is going to be so good for her and her mum as she’s a very sweet Velcro pup that has potential to be a little too anxious when her human is out of sight ( she’s already doing this with me ) So place is fantastic to learn some independence,confidence and to chill out in the world !

A surprise visit for Bertie 🖤Apollo another of our Board and train graduates is hanging out with Bertie in Angie’s office naked 😉 no tools on but still listens ,knows place and so gets to have more freedom in our house , when he comes back to board with us at WDK .

First field trip to Tractor supply with Leto !
It’s only the beginning of his second week of training but I wanted to get him out into the world to build on his confidence as he’s very weary of people.
So this is all about NOT meeting and greeting people but instead to be able to be out in the world and chill.
We have our bubble we are in . And my job is to help him to be able to stay in the bubble through all this extra stimulation of people , noise , other dogs etc .
By working on heel and down with duration I’m helping him to be.
And not react or be fearful of everything around him .

After a morning walk these two cuties are working in a different way by being on place ! What a great way to have your dog or dogs working and chilling out at the same time . Ricky and Izzy came to WDK for training quite a while ago. We love when we get great pics and updates from the owners showing off how they are doing a great job maintaining the dogs’ training at home…and still able to have fun and enjoy their lives together! 😃 🐕 🌲
