It’s official. Miss Rio is a 3rd generation HOF Dam. So proud that in the few breedings I do, these dogs produce outstanding performance, companion, conformation, working, and loving dogs. She is so deserving of this honor. I am over the moon proud. Thank you Helen Ferguson for all you do. ❤️

Today Slider completed his Open Cattle title with a frost place on D course, no less. Ferrous first started cattle leg also on D course. Over the moon happy with them.

CKC national specialty. Sunpiper True Grit aka Feisty. BOB herding dog, BOB altered. Nice score in rally and on her way to MVA! Gambit (Trace x Ferrous) won his puppy class.

So proud of these 2. The WASCUNY Sparkler was a real swelterer, but they took it in stride. Gator RWD x 2 out of the 9-12 class to 5 point majors. Nothing fazes him! What a great dog he is.
Ferrous BOB expertly handled by Alexis Reidy and completely naked under Sr. breeder judge Janet Kelly. Thank you for that huge win! She blew her last go round in the 2nd show, or would have been BOS. So nice to pull out my girl and have her win as a special. Not every champion is a special.
Her rally was reflective of our commitment to it this summer. But we rallied together in our last run for a perfect 200 in excellent and HIT.
I came home Saturday night, I had all the heat I could take.

Such a nice showing of Sunpiper dogs, Mother and offspring placing and titling at PENNYASC Zane USDAA. Mom Feisty STDd & OTDs (photo not from today) most promising started dog. Son Kindred OTDd and 1 open sheep leg. Daughter Harper, nice P1 agility Qs and placements. So proud.

This was considered correct head type when we wrote the 1977 ASCA standard. From the SUPPLEMENT OF ANNOTATIONS TO THE AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD CLUB OF AMERICA (ASCA) BREED STANDARD- HEAD: It was felt necessary to specify the proportion of width and length of topskull to muzzle length in order to keep the head in proportion and from becoming too long and narrow. It might be noted that in some other breeds where definite proportions were not stipulated, one of the first things to be changed as the breeds evolved was the head." Genetics of the skull are coupled - linked - to other traits. That is why we are see other changes in the breed as the head type gradually changes.
