We miss our Teddy!

This handsome man came to us for some much needed potty training and crate manners and socialization. He recently went home to his family and can’t wait to have him back for obedience.

Upon showing up he had that typical “licked an electrical outlet” doodle look. We worked on grooming with and they handled it flawlessly.

Welcome to The Steadfast family, Ivy.

Ivy’s owner reached out to us in regards to our board and train program. While simultaneously looking for obedience, she has some generally naughty behaviors that need some work. We are almost a week into her program and Ivy is excelling in her obedience and understanding impulse control, proper greetings, and how to maintain her composure in the home. Can’t wait to continue to see this girl grow.

Esther is signed up for private lessons and learning quickly. She struggles with being too excited about new guests coming to the home. She’s a big girl and doesn’t know her size when jumping and trying to charge the door. She is also a little too playful when greeting new dogs.

We are implementing some markers, leash pressure, impulse control and focus with her mom. Love seeing this girl learn!

Dakota joined us for our 3 Week On-Leash Board & Train program. She came@to us quite nervous, and skittish around new things. We will be focusing on building a relationship with her and building her confidence out in the world. Even after our first session we saw her come to life a little and we are so so excited to see her progress.

Young Malinois can be tricky, so we are here to help her family understand the needs of a dog like her and how to get her to feel comfortable in her own skin.

Polo might be wishing the tooth fairy would come, but it’s The Steadfast Canine that brings the treats.

Polo and his three housemates (Nina, Angel, and Dunkin) are learning to live together while simultaneously working on some obedience during their private lessons.

THE MANY FACES OF VAYDA!

Vayda and her family wrapped up their private lessons today and we are so happy with how far she has come. Her parents practiced every week and always had great questions to help better understand her!

She was a spicy lady from the beginning but learned things like impulse control, recalling, ditching her destructive chewing and jumping on strangers, as well as relaxing in the house and in the crate.

Ever met a dog with a name that matches their personality so well? This is Noodle!

Noodle came to us for an on-leash board and train. He has a hard time holding his body still, but it comes from a happy place. He has a love for everyone and everything, just struggles to contain his jumping and pulling on leash. We’ve been working a lot on impulse control and understanding how the leash works. Noodle is an absolute joy to have around.

Possible Chow Chow/GSD mix. Flat collar, no tags, looking for a chip.

Very sweet, seems young, calm but fearful. Took in quite a bit of water and is very tired. Please share!

Tripp is staying with us for our on-leash program. He is eager to learn, and so playful. This week we worked on basic obedience as well as impulse control.

THE DOG THAT STARTED IT ALL!! 🐾

When I rescued Ghost in 2016 he came to me with significant leash reactivity issues with dogs and strangers, while also having little to no obedience training. I was eager to help and understand why Ghost was having these behavioral issues. I worked with a local trainer (Kirk Halma - K9 Motivation/True Blue Dogs) who helped Ghost and I improve our relationship and resolve these issues together. Ultimately, Kirk and Ghost are solely responsible for my steps into becoming a professional dog trainer. After attending and interning at The Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers I am opening my doors to help you build a better relationship with your dog through communication and clarity in training.
