We think everyday should be National puppy day!

This Sunday, March 23rd, is National Puppy Day! This little guy came to us last year as a frightened, shut-down little puppy. He was terrified of his own shadow. He is now a happy, confident little fellow, secure in his forever home. We can only do this because of you, our wonderful supporters and foster homes! Thank you, and happy National Puppy Day! ❤️

And here's the rest of their stories (so far)!! A huge thanks goes out to all the volunteers that helped these six dogs. I'm going to post a group of photos that shows how teamwork changed the lives of these dogs! They now ALL have foster or foster-to-adopt homes from Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Our great transporters, Coordinators, VPs and Board all came together for them as well as a wonderful vet in Oklahoma that initially treated all the dogs. Photo's in comments.

We need you! We are getting 6 dogs next Wednesday January 29th from another breeder going out of business and immediately driving them to get initial vetting and evaluation. They've been living out in a barn on the breeders property. Barry and I will know more next week.
Here's what we know so far: these dogs have been indoors periodically until the breeder got a new boyfriend that was allergic, then moved outside. None have been leash trained, all apparently have AKC papers.

b. Priscilla 6 years old liver and white female intact
c. Smokey 4 years old black and white male intact
d. Emmy 2 years old black and white female intact
e. Benji 1.5 year old black and white male neutered

To help these dogs, we REALLY need foster homes or foster to adopt commitments for these dogs now! We rely on foster families to help this dogs. We can arrange transport to approved foster families in Oklahoma or Texas.

Two weeks post-op, Dasher is on the road to recovery after undergoing bilateral luxating patella surgery—his knees were grade 4, as bad as it gets. Without this critical procedure, Dasher would never have a chance to walk normally. Dasher is now healing, but his journey—and the journey of the Walterboro 11—is far from over.
