A street dog’s life in India is a constant struggle, teetering between survival and hope. Some are fortunate—they find a feeder, a kind-hearted soul who ensures they get a meal, maybe even a place to sleep. If they’re lucky, they get vaccinated—at least for rabies, since the government provides it for free. But what about the other vaccinations? The ones that protect them from deadly diseases like distemper, parvovirus, and leptospirosis? Those cost money, and most street dogs never get them.Even among those who have feeders, medical care is limited. But then, there are the truly forgotten ones—the dogs with no feeders, no caretakers, no one to even acknowledge their existence. They are the ones who go unnoticed, scavenging for food in garbage piles, drinking from dirty puddles, and suffering from diseases that could have been prevented. They are the ones you want to help.Your mission is not just to support the ones who already have some care, but to seek out the invisible ones—the strays that no one notices, the sick and weak who have no one fighting for them. By vaccinating, feeding, and caring for these forgotten dogs, you’re giving them a chance at a healthier life, reducing suffering, and ultimately creating safer, more compassionate communities. This work won’t be easy, but it is necessary. Because every dog, whether fed or unfed, deserves more than just survival—they deserve care, protection, and a life free from unnecessary suffering. And you’re stepping in to make that happen.
