⚠️🚙⚠️ Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the U.S. die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message. ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car.

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

• The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

• At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

• Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

• Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

• Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

• Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

• Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.

Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.
Please don't risk their safety.

If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe.

Pixie is set to arrive around the 17th, we are hoping she will hold out until she gets here to have her pups, she will still be in danger if she doesn't as their Shelter is not set up for pups.. we are excited to meet her and get her settled in.. we are needing funds for her vetting and transport if you can help please do.

Our new Rescue Pixie will be networked there for adoption, after the pups are weaned and she is ready to find her new home.. We will be sharing her story and progress along the way though..

Main issue (only issue) with the puppy is that he has incontinence issues due to a birth defect of missing the last two of his lumbar. Does not know when he is peeing or pooping. He does have some control, and could be improved with strict scheduling of feeds and regular potty time outside.

Does great wearing a belly band, or dog diaper.
Has been an outside dog but does well inside.
Wonderful temperament, and as sweet as can be.

Gait training would be beneficial, he kinda hops while running. Normal walking gait is not affected. He is a very happy puppy. And completely healthy as far as we know besides the incontinent issues.

Thank you so much for helping us, he can live out a full life. He just needs the home to do it in.

I know some people that have truly social dogs can struggle with this concept as they have no issues with this, and some people judge others by the sociability of their dog.
"They just weren't socialised enough as puppies"
"They need to be more obedient"
"They just need to play more"
"They need to be more dominant when playing"
"They need to just submit"
No, no...and no again.

Just like us, dogs have social preferences and some are very strong.
You may have noticed this with a dog that only likes to play with their own breed, or much smaller dogs. Some dogs are drawn to very specific types of dogs or seek out dogs with a particular physical trait.
Some will just refuse to be social with a particular breed as they may struggle to read that particular breeds body language, and they may even act "aggressively" to that breed when that dog attempts an interaction.

Another thing I would like to point out is.... there is a bit of a myth out there that reactive dogs only belong in the "not social" category. Some reactive dogs can be really social with others, but they could be leash reactive even to dog breeds or types they may enjoy interacting with off lead.
Just because a dog is reactive does NOT automatically mean they dislike all other dogs.
Even reactive dogs have (and are allowed) to have their own unique preferences.
