We were lucky enough to find the Gelato series from South County at a local distributor. We shared a flight to taste them all. Cali really wanted to be a part of it so we shared some chicken broth.

It is important to keep your dogs mentally stimulated on a hot day. Here are 2 puzzle type toys these 2 love. As they manipulate the toy their food falls out.

Easy healthy dog treats.
Take ground turkey and roll it out thin on parchment paper. Score it with a pizza cutter so you have small treats. Bake in the oven on your lowest temperature until all moisture is removed.

I always say, "The hardest part of training a dog is bringing an untrained dog out in public."
Cali reminded us of this today. She barked anytime someone moved. It's embarrassing, but in the long run it will be worth having a dog that is well behaved in public.

I am always looking for limited ingredient treats for mine and my clients' dogs. Frequently I just make my own by dehydrating chicken or turkey. I found these today at Sam's club. The only ingredient is chicken. It was $18.98 for 3lbs. They are tough to tear so they need to be cut with a scissor before training. All 3 dogs approve!!

Can't wait for warmer weather to bring the pups here. This is the first local place I have ever seen that offers a dog menu. The human food was delicious too.

Some people meal prep on the weekends. I dog treat prep. These will be frozen for a long lasting treat.

When you leave and when you return should be the most boring time of your dog's day. Here is a video of me returning after a few hours out. I don't make a big deal, just acknowledge them and move on. Exuberant greetings build anxiety.

You only get a short amount of time to expose your puppy to all the things they may encounter in this crazy world. I have an extensive checklist. Woman on stilts was not on my list but today that's what we encountered. Check ✔

I fill their Kongs with wet food and then freeze them. It makes for a cool treat and keeps them occupied so we can have some quiet time on the deck.

Training never stops. Working on the "leave it" command with Kaiba. Normally he chases birds in our yard.

The only thing keeping Kaiba from running out the open door is training. Very first lesson for my basic obedience clients is wait at the door.
