The grandstands are empty. The arena is quiet. The livestock have headed to the next rodeo, and the contestants are rubbing sore muscles and preparing for their next run. And as for us, the members of the McLeod Rodeo Association? We’re catching some much needed rest, making plans for putting on an even better event next year, and feeling overwhelmed by gratitude for the support we just witnessed.

Over 1,000 people came to our little patch of prairie this weekend - contestants, spectators, and sponsors alike. They cheered on and took part in two days of high quality rodeo action, then went up to McLeod to enjoy a small town street dance.

The number of sponsors and volunteers that it takes to put on a weekend like this is hard to fathom. It’s humbling to think about how much went into making this rodeo a success. We’d like to take a moment to thank our generous sponsors for this year’s McLeod Stampede:
