We told Nolan he was going to Colorado and he broke out dancing‼️He left today making his way to Denver, Colorado! He has come a long way and we couldn't be happier for him. Nolan, have a happy and wonderful life sweet boy‼️
Yesterday was the last day Buddy will ever have to wear a TAPS bandana…
He has spent over two years searching for his forever home with us; our longest dog yet.
With tears in our eyes, we greatfully took that bandana back and handed over his leash.
🫶🏼Congratulations Buddy, you deserved this for such a long time!
As Winnie the Pooh once said:
“How Lucky I am having something that makes saying goodbye so hard”
Welcome to Foster Friday! Today we are highlighting another one of our amazing foster parents Bobbie Jo Hopper Privett!! She, along with her family, fostered for us one time, and then knew they could help do much more! We are so glad Bobbie Jo has joined our TAPS family, and we couldn’t be more grateful to her and her family for joining us on our quest to save so many doggy souls! Check out her story below!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
“ I first began fostering back in February when my oldest daughter begged me to help with a pound group that was destined for euthanasia. She was already fostering for the Arkansas pet Savers. We have a 4 year old lab, Betty, and I had just never considered taking in others. My first pair was Barbie and Midge. There have been many since then, mostly multiples with up to four at one time. Unknown to me at the time, there was something missing in my life and fostering has filled that spot. It really has been such a blessing and I couldn’t see my life without these precious souls that drift in and drift out. I call myself the “jumping off place.” I’m just a stepping stone to their better lives ahead and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve had one fail. Miss Mira (short for Miracle). She was one of a parvo litter so named because there’s no reason she should have survived that nightmare when most of them didn’t. I just love it and our Betty girl does, too.”
Transport
A very successful transport! Happy doggos ready to begin their new lives! Their adventures await! Thank you once again to our fosters, our drivers, and to all who donated to help them get to the destination 🤩
Update on Spankie!! He needs a foster or adoptive family!!!
Spankie is doing amazing with the help of Veterinary Healthcare Clinic! It’s time for Spankie to go to a foster home to prepare him for his future life as a wonderful companion. He is available for adoption. This handsome fellow loves attention. Contact us today to become a foster or find out how you can adopt Spankie!
Remember the pups we saved from the pound last week? They’re all coming down with parvo! This is very costly and time consuming for our volunteers. Please help donate to help save their precious lives!
Happy Foster Friday!!! Today is another day where we celebrate one of our own, someone who in just two short years has fostered and saved so many lives!! Jennifer Bond and family has been a blessing for us. They will take dog, after dog, after dog. Sometimes 3 at a time!! Sometimes a whole litter!!! It’s fosters like Jennifer and her family who help keep the rescue programs going. 🙏
Take a peek at Jennifer’s foster journey so far!!!
And give her a ❤️ for all her awesome fosters!!
“My husband and I began our foster journey with TAPS in January of 2022 when a sweet lab mix named Gretchen popped up on my feed that was going to be euthanized that afternoon. Gretchen was very young and I just couldn’t stand the thought of that being the end of her story. We didn’t realize at the time how fostering would become such a large part of our lives as well as the lives of everyone in our family. Our niece and nephew love playing with all of the new animals and our other family members are always eager to jump in and love on them as well. We have had the opportunity to save the lives of dozens of animals working with TAPS. Fostering can definitely be difficult at times, however having the opportunity to love on these animals and watch them transform from being so scared, confused, and heartbroken to thriving, playful and full of life is such a wonderful blessing. Our house may be a little chaotic at times but it is so full of love we wouldn’t change a thing! If anyone is interested in fostering I highly recommend reaching out, it helps save these sweet animals lives and is truly so rewarding.”
Winnie wants to say thank you to everyone who donated towards her care! She was able to be pulled from the pound today and get a medicated bath & some TLC.
She is sweet as pie❤️ We are all ready to show her what love is. If you’d like to help us continue our efforts, we would always appreciate it.
We would love to get her started on some fromm puppy food from Hollywood Feed to help with her gaining some weight if you can help!
