AKITA HOME OR RESCUE NEEDED!

Riv is a 5 year old male Akita! He was dumped a few months ago and rescued by a breed experienced home. He has overcome many issues and is now ready to find a forever family or an experienced rescue. He is up to date on vaccines, his adopter or committed rescue would need to ensure neuter is completed. He does not seem to like other male dogs, but does well with most large female dogs. He can become protective of his toys once he takes them and lays down in “his spot”, but does like to play with his toys with you until he is ready to be alone. He is now crate trained and Josie trained, he will have accidents if alone for too long (7+ hours). He currently lives with kids, doing best with ages 10+ who have large breed experience. He is a typical Akita, loving his owners strongly and being a very loyal boy. He can be protective of his home until he knows that the visitor is safe. He loves to play fetch, be outside with you, and has overcome so much. If you are able to adopt or help this boy out, give his current home a call!
