I'm finally home from TNR.... While I was driving back just outside of Sunnyside I got a call from my aunt about a kitten emergency. A man had come through her drive thru with a 1-2 week old kitten trying to give it to one of her staff members. My aunt of course took the kitten from this man. The kitten was so hungry it was trying to suckle on her fingers and neck... The man wouldn't offer up much information about the kitten and where he got it from and if there was more hopefully this was the only one. She is now with me. As soon as I walked in the door I made a bottle for this baby and she latched immediately. She seems to be constipated with a minor eye infection. Feral mother update 😬 She was still in labor when I left for TNR we now have 4 kittens 3 tabbies and a black baby. Kitten season is already so bad this year.... Any help and donations would be greatly appreciated! The factory site I teamed up with Alourah Elizabeth LeMazingness, Wet Noses Foster Paws, Prevent Homeless Pets Spay & Neuter and Underground Community Cat Rescue to help this site. My original estimate on how many cats were on this property was around 50-60 cats then I found out the one house near by owned the factory and she was keeping more cats inside it. So I'm thinking around 80+ now. Yesterday I was able to trap 10 cats for TNR. Only 9 of them actually eneded up going because 1 of the ferals gave birth last night (Only 2 so far she's still in labor) Then Alourah ended up taking 12 cats and kittens to wet Noses Foster Paws from this site. All the cats they took in were nice or just a bit shy so they can get homes once their URIs are gone. Alourah also took in 3 kittens and 1 adult herself from this site. So 26 of these cats got some sort of help within the last day or so. As you can see the conditions where these cats are isn't good and a lot of them are sick. I have TNR the 17th for 10 cats so I went down there to trap a few cats get a head start and get some of the tame ish ones for transport because I have a rescue willing to take in 8 of them ( which is awesome!!) And a huge thank you to Alourah Elizabeth LeMazingness for coming down and getting them for transport. While I was there trapping and grabbing those tames, guess what I found... KITTENS. 3 kittens about 10 days old with URI.... as you can see in the videos below It's pretty bad... those poor kids. Help needed!! Hey guys! I came across a new site in the middle of no where near a abandoned factory and there's only 1 house near by. So I went to chat with her to get more info on the cats...it isn't good. The lady in said house is feeding and trying to fix them. All of HER cats are inside cats and fixed but only 2 of the ferals outside are fixed. She doesn't have then funds to continue and has lost count of how many there is. She told me she had contacted other rescues in Yakima but they refused to help. While I was there I saw at least 25. Most severely sick with URI, could be FIV.... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Both food donations and money for TNR/ medication is needed! TNR is $25 each. While I was there I sat down and picked off all the boogers of any cats that would let me, to help them breathe a little better....
