Hello friends! I need to state a policy update, and the reason for it is as follows... Too many people are disrespecting my 24-hour notice cancellation policy, last-minute canceling or no-showing their appointments...
When you book an appointment, it is YOURS, and I have turned away other people that would have liked to take that spot in the schedule. 24-hour notice gives me a chance to contact people who were previously turned down, and offer them the spot. Too often people are messaging within an hour or less before their appointment to tell me they're sick... or others that no-show. It's not only disrespectful to me, but also disrespectful to the other pet owners who are waiting for an opening.
Now, some folks who have had to short-notice-cancel have been very kind, and immediately sent the payment for their timeslot without my having to say anything. To those people of high integrity, I THANK YOU!! I appreciate you showing respect for my time and the service I provide! Sadly however, that is very rare. The majority of short-notice-cancellations or no-shows do not offer payment whatsoever, even though they are aware of my 24-hour notice cancellation policy.
So here's the update: If people short-notice-cancel or no-show, I may opt to NOT book you when you request in the future. Or I may request pre-payment for your appointment at the time of booking, at my discretion.
I hope everyone understands and no one will be offended. As many of you know, I am still taking a limited number of bookings Wednesdays and Saturdays until my hand recovers further, and I can add more days of the week back into my work schedule. In this time, it is even more important for people to understand why the 24-hour cancellation policy is so important--It gives me a chance to give the booking to someone else rather than have a big hole in my schedule.
Thanks everyone for understanding! 🐾 🐾
