Right then... I just told Buffy (the fluffy one in case it wasn't obvious) that studies show cats eat more tuna than people.

Her reply goes something like…”Well naturally Gary. Because I cannot quite remember the last time I ate... a people”

The jury's still out on whether she was making a dad joke or just casually letting me know that I might be on the menu if the tuna runs low 🙀

Either way, I'm sleeping with one eye open tonight. And Buffy's already gone back to grooming herself, totally oblivious to the existential dread she's just caused me…

People-Daddy came to the shop today, and brought me some food, and he filled my food dish and my water dispensers. I have two of those, one in the front office and one in the back, near the place where I hide out when someone comes that I don't want to see.

My back office water dispenser was almost empty and the front one WAS empty, so I knocked it over so People-Daddy would notice it. He filled them both, then filled my kibble dispenser so that I'll have lots of food, because it's supposed to be bad weather, and he doesn't like to drive in bad weather. He also cleaned out my litter box, but they changed the trash collection day, so he needs to remember to come over here and put the trash out. He did a lot more cleaning up in the shop, because there might be someone who is interested in buying the building, but until they do, he needs me to stay here to catch any mousies that come into the building. That's my job, and I take it very seriously. When he sells the building, then I'll go home with him to live, with my brothers, and I will retire, like he did

I thnk he misses working, but he's also pretty old, even for a person, so I think it's time that he retires and enjoys himself, playing with us kitties, and doing fun things.

I caught a mousie in the shop this morning, and when People-Daddy looked at me on the camera, I held it up for him to see that I am doing my job!

He said that he's very pleased that I am protecting the shop.
