This portrait was requested by the wonderfully lovely Kaitlyn Mccartan.

I don’t know what hes called but I’ve named him Terry Scopic.

Terry likes extendable herring, walking towards a first date with his bum cheeks clenched together, and doing blow-offs that sound like a duck having a panic attack in a shark cage.

I’ve obviously drawn this one in my ultra-realistic style, so usual reminder that my portrait is the image on the right.

It's ✨Wishlist✨ Wednesday!

We are SO grateful for the donations we have received so far. The litter genie has been so helpful, the XL litterbox has helped with Winston's dementia related accidents, and the toys have brought out the frisky in the young and older residents. (videos coming, I swear. It's just been a crazy week (and its only Wednesday?! 🫨)

We still need the big asks to help keep the environment safe and sanitized 🦠🧼 for our furbabies (please understand I began this mission, became homeless, and am now recovering from scratch while still holding onto the mission) - and as always litter and food are needed items. 🐈‍⬛ Morning Mental Health Vibes 🐈‍⬛

Animals are healing. They reduce stress related hormones and increase happy hormones.

I learned about a study in a presentation at the My Dog Is My Home co-sheltering conference where they tested college students stress/hormone levels before, during, and after exposure to a dog.

Some of the students got to interact directly with the dog, some students got to be in the same room and only watch the interaction the other students had, some watched the interaction through a screen, and some did not witness the interaction at all.

ALL of the students, except the ones who did not witness the interaction, experienced lower stress related hormones and higher happy hormones just at the sight of the dog. AND animals experience the same stress relief from us.

So remember to love on your fur babies today 🫶.

We have added some big asks on here, but as a new rescue, these items are much needed to keep the environment safe and healthy for our feline residents and so that we can help more cats in the future. Plus, you can't receive help if you don't ask, right?!
