This week’s FarmShare includes many seasonal favorites grown, with most of items grown at York Fresh Food Farms! One you may not be familiar with is Chinese Cabbage!

Chinese Cabbage is incredibly versatile. It has tender leaves and juicy stems that absorb flavors beautifully. The best and most popular way to cook it is by stir-frying or braising, which transforms this delicious vegetable into a tender, savory, and aromatic dish in minutes!

Here are a few ideas to enjoy your Chinese cabbage this week:

* Slice the crunchy white ribs and leaves thinly to substitute for celery or regular cabbage in fresh slaws.
* Toss with sesame oil, rice vinegar, and soy sauce for a quick, vibrant side salad
* Steam or boil whole leaves until soft, then use them as healthy, low-carb wraps for seasoned ground meats or grains.

To keep your cabbage fresh, store it in the refrigerator's crisper drawer.
Place the cabbage in a perforated plastic bag or wrap it in a damp paper towel to maintain humidity.

This week’s FarmShare includes a versatile seasonal favorite: fresh cabbage!

Cabbage is packed with nutrients, including vitamin C, vitamin K, and fiber, making it a healthy addition to a wide variety of meals. Its crisp texture and mild flavor make it equally delicious raw, roasted, sautéed, or fermented.

Here are a few ideas to enjoy your cabbage this week:

Toss it into a fresh slaw with carrots and a light vinaigrette.
Add it to soups, stews, or stir-fries for extra texture and nutrition.
Roast cabbage wedges with olive oil, garlic, and your favorite seasonings.

This week we're excited to feature one of the season's most vibrant vegetables: Mustard Greens!

With their bold, peppery flavor and tender leaves, mustard greens are a versatile addition to your kitchen. They can be enjoyed raw in salads for a spicy kick, lightly sautéed with garlic and olive oil, added to soups and stews, or blended into grain bowls and stir-fries.
