It is with great melancholy that Dogma announces that we will no longer be showing or breeding Great Danes. After losing Ripley in late winter, we have no one else to show or breed. The plan now is to move forward, focusing on our Pointers and Bulldogs. Through the end of this year, I will be occasionally posting wonderful candids and show win memories of our Danes of the past 20 years from the fancy. We loved them greatly and will always miss them! To start us down memory lane, it’s only fitting to share our foundation bitch and first AKC CH Alyeska I Ain’t No Song&Dance CGC. “Melodie” was the most wonderful ambassador of the breed and one of the sweetest dogs we ever had. This was the first show, at six months and two days- with a jittery, anxious, VERY green handler also in the ring the first time (me!).

Fawn boy “Gus”: Dogma Amusabull PNut Butter With A Chance of Fluff (special thanks to Deep River Brewing in Clayton NC for allowing us to use their beer name!) Gus is owned by the Mossey family and co-owned by Dogma.

Pied fawn brindle girl “T***s”: Dogma Amusabulls Unicorn Farts (special thanks to the awesome DuClaw Brewing Company in Ewing NJ for embracing our crazy idea to use their Sour’s name!). T***s is owned by Dogma and Pam Blackmon of Amusabulls.

Red and white brother “Gizmo” Dogma Amusabulls Dad Jokes (named after a Pilsner beer from Gizmo Brewing in Durham NC) is still available. He’s having a fun day of photos tomorrow and will enjoy his own official post at that time!

They’re here, they’re here!!! Dogma is proud to announce the arrival of our “Moon Pie Minis” born on Tuesday September 24th- 7 little sweethearts in almost every color! The Litter Theme will be “Snack Cakes”. Drop your favorite three snack cake names below— we are starting a list of potential registered names using them!

Puppies will be evaluated for show prospects around 7 weeks by Dogma and Oakwood Pointers. Once any breeder selections are made, we will contact prospective homes in list order as to whom is then available.

Our sweet P!NK (CH Amusabulls U Better Get This Party Started CGC TKN) has been keeping a BIG SECRET… surprise!!! She delivered a litter of 2 boys and 1 girl today, sired by Cody (MBISS Group Winning GCH Empire’s Peacemaker At Prisonbreak)!
Cody is the full littermate to our Kimes (BISS GCH Empire’s Leavin’ Them Speechless). Thank you so much Tonya Downs for letting us breed to Cody for his first litter! Dogma is super excited for this first joint breeding venture between Amusabull English & French Bulldogs. The girls of Amusabulls and Dogma had an excellent weekend at the Bethlehem PA Bulldog Specialties this last weekend! Her first day out as a special, Miss Kimes (Ch Empire’s Leavin’ You Speechless- only 14 months old) got her first Grand Champion major going Select Bitch under Deborah Murmylo. Then the next morning, Miley (GCH LowRider Amusabull Dogma CameIn LikeA WreckingBall)) was shown by her teenage breeder, taking an Award of Merit under judge Kenneth Calloway.

Both girls are super young and inexperienced, and the line ups were the who’s who in the breed- lots of breeder judges handling their own dogs. We are so proud of how well they showed and that they were awarded in such stiff competition! Win photos to come…

Amusabulls and Dogma Bulldogs are over the moon!!! Finally able to share Miley’s BISS photo (and her other exciting wins!!!) from the Carolina Bulldog Cluster Specialties in NC this last weekend of October. Expertly piloted by her youngest breeder Zoe Brewer, now BISS GCH LowRider Amusabull Dogma CameIn LikeA WreckingBall took BISS under Donna Mouser, BOS under Kenneth Calloway, and Select Bitch under Billy Byrd to finish her Grand Championship in only two weekends!

Miley was bred by Corri Long, Shirley Brewer Slaterpryce, Jill Siegel, and Zoe Brewer, and is owned and loved by Pamela Blackmon, Neil Dean and I, and Corri Long. She is by GCH Little Pond Slaterpryce’s Cut Above The Rest and out of Ch Slaterpryce’s Haters Gonna Hate Hate Hate Hate. She has been shown in her show career by Zoe, Jose Miguel Sanchez, and owners Neil Dean and myself- thank you to all for making this journey with her so memorable! Baby “Kimes” just turned 11 months old when she finished with 4 majors from the 9-12 mo class with BOW at the Bulldog Club of America Div VIII specialty (after RWB that morning at the Tri Star KC show)…

Somewhat belated- Miss Smiley Miley is now known as AKC Champion LowRider Amusabull Dogma CameIn LikeA WreckingBall!!! She finished at the Greensboro NC Shows, going Best of Breed over Specials both days. Thank you to the skillful hands of Jose Miguel Sanchez for somehow keeping our wild child from swinging from the rafters- it takes mad skills and serious talent to keep her still! LOL
Miley was owner handled by Amy Dean and also shown to her first major by Julie Crook- thanks to everyone who helped get this fireball finished!!! Miley was bred by Corri Long, Shirley Slaterpryce, Jill Segal, and Zoe Brewer. Miley is owned by Low Rider, Amusabulls, and Dogma Bulldogs.
