Hello everyone, and a great day to you all. Summer will start to wind down soon, ( keeping my fingers crossed) and I'll be starting classes again at the end of September. Classes are a first come first served basis. All dogs will need to be UTD on all vaccinations, have a 6ft. long leash, and a good collar. Sorry, but no prong collars, e-collars or choke chains will be allowed. So, bring your dog, your patience, and a good sense of humor, and hope to see you all soon.

Wow! Hey everyone. I know its been awhile, just been super busy. The Yuma kennel club and k.b. dog training are having an event for all who are interested. On February 25 2023, YKC and k.b. dog training will be holding the annual RDO (Responsible Dog Ownership) and CGC (Canine Good Citizenship) event at the Kiwanis baseball field located at 8th st and Magnolia Ave. in Yuma. Bring your family (including your dogs) and enjoy some sun. Paula Bensel will have a small rally course set up and I'll have some agility set up for those who want to try their hands at that. We'll be testing for CGC if you want to give your dog a chance to strut his/her stuff. Come on out and enjoy the day. Remember all dogs must be on leash. Hope to see you all there!!

Each fall, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) sees an increase in pets getting into specific foods and medications. One of the most common issues involves dogs (and sometimes curious cats) getting into kids’ backpacks and lunchboxes during the school year.

Hi everyone, just a tip, we all know that veterinarians tell us to keep our young pups as isolated from diseases as we can,we also know that the most important learning socialization time starts around 8 weeks old. So how do you keep your fur baby safe and still socialize them to people and other dogs without exposing them to diseases? The best way to do this is by socializing them with friends and family. Have your friends and family over to get acquainted with your pup. Have them leave their shoes at the door and have yummy treats for them to give your furbaby. If you have family with dogs that you know have been well vaccinated, your furbaby can get acquainted with them as well. Always keep your pup safe and if your unsure, then its better to err on the side of caution. Rule of thumb, your pup should meet up to 100 different people for the best results. Also, its better for your pup to be friendly with people, so meeting other dogs can come once your pup is well vaccinated at 16 weeks or more. Keep your pup safe, he/she is counting on you.

Graduating day,Angie, Randy and Reba keep up the training and congratulations. Hope to see you in October.
