*Training and socialization pays off *

A well started and socialized dog can handle almost anything.

New sounds, sights and smells are nothing to Chevelle.

She behaves well around gunfire and fire works, as well as construction equipment and small kids.

Cats and chickens are no problem for her. We go to our local pet store and watch the ferrets and rabbits

Practicing impulse control.

Malibu is the biggest scarf dog I’ve met. She thinks all food/ everyone’s food is hers.
She began counter surfing and stealing food now that she’s tall enough to actually follow her nose.
The last week has been teaching her she isn’t allow to take anything that isn’t hers, without permission. We’re also teaching respectful begging, not in your face begging/pawing/barking 🙂

Maverick is a trained hunting dog but still lives inside with the family. He’s learning to enjoy walks without chasing birds and pulling towards them. We’re practicing handler awareness other than in the field.

He’s becoming a very handsome hardheaded 🤣❤️

Malibu definitely enjoys her new baby pool.
She’s excelling in her fetch progress and basic house hold commands.
She’s learning her place within our house and loves the kids. 💕

I took a longer video but apparently forgot to save it. Socialization trip to Lowe’s and Home Depot today. there are other people in the store but for their privacy I made sure not to get anyone in my video.

Chevelle showing how smart she is. I just started working with her on stay while playing fetch so she does get up, but doesn’t move. I take that as a win.
