Elwood (from our '24 SHR Cleo JH WC and Dozer MH10 BCAT DE HDM CGCA TKA FITB WC) came to hang out with us for the last week or so while his people are on vacation.

Trapper (Sturg) is already on the place board. Training starts the day you bring your pup home!! It doesn't take much, a few reps a couple times a day and you get results. Great job Trapper and thanks for the pupdate!

Mr. Sturg aka Trapper got to celebrate his long anticipated Gotcha Day! We were happy to hang on to him for a couple extra weeks and today is the day he gets to make his journey to the North Country. Trapper has some big paws to fill, but sounds like he will live the life most dogs dream of. Thanks for choosing us and we look forward to all the pupdates in the future!

Thanks to Kylie's K9 Images & Designs for capturing the moment I feel like the light bulb turned on for Tipsy this past weekend. This was her second retrieve of her first test and I could tell something clicked in her head.

As our first keeper pup, we are very proud and excited to see what her future holds!!

On another note, we are hanging on to Sturg for another week or so till his people are able to bring him home. Since his owner is going with the name 'Trapper', why not have him tag along to the trap range for our daughter's high school trap team's fun day. Ol Trapper wasn't fazed in the least as you can see. Of course, he wasn't front and center to the gun fire, but he sure didn't mind it from the picnic area!! This probably has some part to do with all the sensory exposure they get while with us.

What a weekend! Took Amos and Tipsy down to Prior Lake for an HRC hunt test at the Horse and Hunt Club. While the weekend wasn't without hiccups, hilarity and some humility... we walked away with 1 Seasoned Pass for Amos and 2 Started passes for Tipsy's very first appearance. All in all, a worthwhile weekend with old friends and new.

A big thank you to Lake Country Retriever Club for all of your hard work this weekend. Your efforts are much appreciated. Especially the banquet dinner, that brisket was top notch!!
