Meet Ellie! ❤️ She’s a lifesaver! Literally! Ellie has a universal blood type and is routinely tested so that she can be a donor for dogs that are anemic and need blood transfusions. Ellie saved a very critical patient’s life last week and we couldn’t be more thankful for her! 🩸🐾

Great job to Jasmine's family who helped her rehabilitate post-op for a CCL tear that we repaired 8 weeks ago, she is doing well after being cleared for normal activity and we couldn't be happier for this beautiful gal and her owners. Thank you for the kind words, Brittany! ❤️

Thank you to Dr. Ball and staff for the excellent care Jasmine received before, during, and after her CCL surgery. You guys are amazing! We are so very happy with the results! ❤️

Romero, a 10 month old Maltese mix puppy, ingested a penny and nickel prior to arriving to our center in very bad shape. Since pennies are now primarily made of zinc and not copper, it caused a zinc toxicity that left him anemic and in need of a blood transfusion prior to endoscopy to remove the change. Thankfully, the blood transfusion was successful and we were able to scope out the $0.06 from Romero's stomach. As you can see from the photos, the penny had partially disintegrated from the stomach acid. We are happy to report that Romero is now full recovered and doing well at home now.

We were honored to help out Hendricks County Humane Society with a sweet girl who needed urgent pyometra surgery! She is all healed up and is happy in her home with the humans who love her.

We had an owner contact us last month about her dog not feeling well & exhibiting all the signs of pyometra: a deadly uterine infection that can quickly kill. The good people at Indy Animal Surgery Center immediately agreed to squeeze her into their schedule the next day at a deeply discounted price. We cannot thank the staff enough for saving this dog’s life! 🥰🥰🥰

We love working with the skilled team at VCA Advanced Veterinary Care in Fishers to help with our mutual furry friends like Dumptruck here, who needed a nephrectomy (kidney removal) performed at our surgery center. It's so good to see her doing well and relaxing in her element! Thanks, AVCC! ❤️‍🩹

Dumptruck presented through our ER for vomiting and anemia. After some supportive care, she received an abdominal ultrasound by one of our radiologists, Dr. Kelsey Cline, DVM, MS, DACVR and was diagnosed with a massive hydroureter! We were able to collaborate with our friends at Indy Animal Surgery Center to get her surgery taken care of.

Dumptruck is doing fantastic and enjoys lying in the sun while she recovers. Her mom is incredibly thankful for all our help and for working with other local veterinarians to get the care she needed!

Sometimes owners are faced with a heart-wrenching decision to relinquish their pets if they can't afford a needed surgery. Thankfully, we were able to step in and offer an affordable solution so that Rusty, the most HANDSOME 4 month old Collie, could stay with his loving family. He suffered a nasty fracture to his left hindlimb while playing with his housemates. We are thrilled that we could get him on the road to recovery. ❤️‍🩹

Barb came to us from Southside Animal Shelter (where she is up for adoption!) with pain and straining during urination and defecation. This cute girl had an extremely large bladder stone that was causing irritation of her bladder wall and needed a cystotomy, which is removing the stone. We were also able to repair her hernia and spay her during surgery. Barb is healing now and is a very happy girl! Check out this stone poor Barb had in her bladder, incredible!

This is Yeti, aka 'Big Sexy'! He is here for his Platelet Rich Plasma injections to treat his arthritis and achy joints. His PRP is made from his own blood that we take and spin the plasma out of, right here at our facility. We then inject his plasma into the areas affected by Yeti's arthritis. His platelets are filled with proteins that have great healing growth factors and helps alleviate his chronic inflammation and pain. Yeti is a handsome (per his bib) 11 year old, 167 pound Newfie!

Lilly, a French Bulldog, came to us needing soft palate and stenotic nares surgeries. Frenchies and other brachycephalic breeds are genetically predispositined to an elongated soft palate and very narrow nasal openings, both causing strained breathing, difficulty swallowing and snoring. In the 'before' video, you can hear just how hard it is for Lilly to breathe normally through her tiny little nostrils. Dr. Ball was able to shorten the palate and as you can see in the 'after' shot, open up those nasal pasages much wider. Lilly is breathing and feeling much better today!
