If anyone needs hurricane clean up, my client and personal friend is available. Licensed and insured. He cleared our land at our house and does more than just land clearing. He’s out and about cleaning up people’s properties after Hurricane Helene. We highly recommend his services and also giving him a call. Curtis is the Man!

For those of us that have ever had a fungal infection in their equines hoof. Here is a good read on what those weird “V” shaped cuts or indentations in your equines hooves comes from and what to look for. Most people assume it’s an abcsess that blew out when it’s actually fungus that gets into the coronet band. It’s very common here in the tropical climate of Florida!

Little before and after of a new clients mini mules foot! Needless to say, there were plenty of happy dusty rolls after his feet got done. By him of course, not me.

Another happy client!

With the changing weather and cold season on us now most of our critters are enjoying the cooler temperatures and less bugs (one could hope). But, for those of us that have horses and equines that their feet suffer from the changing season this is a simple educational video on PPID also known as “Cushings Disease” and how it can affect your animals feet, hair, and overall quality of life. Typically, when the seasons change we (farriers) see an increase in thrushy feet and abscesses in feet from minor to extremely severe. The common question during these times is what is causing these abscesses to just appear out of no where? Abscesses come from a variety of different reasons and/or issues and we do not have a definitive answer to the question of why. But, if you watch this video, and you feel like you may have a horse or equine that fits the build of possibly having PPID then maybe the next time you have the vet out this might be something to ask about. After all, a little additional knowledge never hurt anyone. Even if this video is just informative, it’s still worth the watch.

Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
