The UK Government has decided to add the XL Bully breed to the list of dogs prohibited by the Dangerous Dogs Act of 1991 due to a rise in occurrences and fatalities involving these dogs. The Dangerous Dogs Act of 1991 now prohibits the following five breeds of dogs: Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Fila Brasileiro, Dogo Argentino, and XL Bully.

Hey friends, it's WatNot here, reporting live from my temporary home in South Korea!

Four months have flown by since I said goodbye to the lush rice paddies of Laos. While I've been welcomed with open arms and warm hospitality by the amazing Korean people, a part of me still yearns for the vast Outback and sun-kissed shores of Australia. 🇦🇺

Missing my human Catharine dearly, I know she must miss me too. The countdown is on for our reunion in just a few more months! Until then, I'll keep you updated on my adventures in Korea. Stay tuned for more furry updates!

While certain breeds are more prone to aggression, any dog can exhibit aggressive behaviour, especially under stress or in unfamiliar environments. This applies to all sizes of dogs, from small to medium to large.

Even the most affectionate dog at home can transform into a growling, difficult-to-handle animal when faced with the stress of kenneling or air travel. Such behaviour can pose a safety hazard to kennel staff, airline personnel, ground handlers, animal hotel staff, and pet shippers.

Airlines may refuse to board dogs that exhibit aggressive behaviour, as it poses a risk to all involved. Additionally, if aggressive behaviour occurs during transit, your dog may not be allowed out of its crate, and depending on the severity of the situation, handling staff may not be able to properly refill food and water.

To avoid these potentially unpleasant and dangerous situations, it's crucial to crate-train your dog properly. Start crate training several weeks or even months in advance, gradually associating the crate with positive experiences. Make the crate a safe place where your dog can retreat and relax when feeling scared or stressed.

Don't neglect crate training your dog. It's an investment in your dog's well-being and safety, and it makes life easier for everyone involved.

Following recent developments at the IPATA conference - Emirates SkyCargo announced that they will lift the ban on transporting snub-nosed pets. This will be for a trial period during the winter season from 01st November 2023 to 01st April 2024.
