🤠 Here's a first for us folks! A Rodeo Horse Parade comin' at ya on Saturday mornin' from 7:30am. Starts at Saralana Park and heads to the Rodeo Park at Bellevue for the start of our HUGE VAS Rodeo weekend! There's no sleepin' in for this folks - 'The Pirates' motor cycle gang will lead this parade so expect some noise!! And let's welcome a new young rider as our Flag Bearer folks! Her name is Mylène Furet and she is only 13 years old! Come and show your support for our very first Ni-Vanuatu youth flag bearer this Saturday! Yeeee haw!!!! 🇻🇺👏👏👏

* * VANUATU EQUESTRIAN CENTRE LAUNCHES HORSE MARKETPLACE * *
Vanuatu Equestrian Centre (VEC) has launched its Equine trading service with the arrival of five horses to Port Vila from Santo on Thursday.
The inbound horses were ethically assessed and examined by qualified and trained equestrian specialists Olaf De Ceuster and Stéphanie Caillaud, before loading in Santo by experienced horse handlers for the journey overnight to Port Vila. The horses didn’t occupy a private room onboard, however, they travelled in style with pawpaws, water and cared for overnight. Whilst these horses are currently under contract, more horses are being sourced from different islands and arriving in the next few months. These horses may be gelded and further assessed for professional training before handing over to the new owners.
The Equestrian Marketplace is a VEC service to buy and sell horses and equestrian related products and services in Vanuatu. Founded by individuals who have experience across all sectors of the equestrian industry, the marketplace is a unique platform to buy, sell and advertise equestrian products and services directly to horse lovers and those interested in equestrian activities.
Products and services advertised include leisure and group trail riding, agistment for horses, lessons for kids and adults of all abilities, pony club, consignment shop, horses for sale, transport, horse training in horsemanship and traditional disciplines, venue hire and events including pony parties.

The Show Jumping Competition may have been cancelled due to safety reasons, however, the fun kept happening at the VEC! We sincerely thank everyone for coming, and especially our caterer; The Village Cafe, Tana Russet Plaza, who did an amazing job of providing refreshments for hungry horse-lovers, as well as the New Zealand High Commission Vanuatu, Australian High Commission Vanuatu, LJ Ho**er Vanuatu, Tropical Agencies, ODC Ltd, The Riders' Club, El Manaro Kava Bar, Montmartre, parents, riders, supporters, staff and especially the kids... disappointing, but safety is paramount. At least the Advanced riders were able to perform their ANZAC Tribute: a commemoration to the mounted infantry of Australia & New Zealand. 18,000 horses left New Zealand to travel halfway around the world during the war - 4 returned. 136,000 horses left Australia - 1 returned... Lest We Forget.🐴🐎
