As well as evening classes, we are also running a loose lead workshop at Highfield Community Centre 3-4pm on Thursday 12th October.

This one hour workshop will teach your dog to focus on you and walk nicely on lead 🐾🐕

Suitable for dogs aged 6+ months. Spaces are limited to 6 dogs 🐾

Please note classes aren't suitable for reactive dogs but 1 to 1 training is available 🐾

Price is £15

Evening classes now available 🐕

This is a 5 week course that will run for 5 consecutive weeks 🐾

We will cover how to teach your dog to focus on you, how to walk nicely on the lead, recall, wait/stay and much more. We only use positive rewarding training no harsh or aversive methods.

Suitable for dogs 6+ months. Please note classes aren't suitable for reactive dogs, however, 1 to 1 training is available.

Spaces are limited to a maximum of 6 dogs and no more than 2 people per dog.

Price is £90 for the 5 weeks with a £25 deposit to secure a space.

When: 7-8pm Friday 20th October

Bee & Wasp stings.
If your dog is showing signs of an allergic reaction after being stung you must call your vet immediately.

If there are no signs of an allergic reaction or anaphylactic shock then you can treat at home.

A paste made from bicarbonate of soda and water can be applied to bee sting areas.
You can use vinegar mixed with water to bathe wasp sting areas.

Seeing posts from 'Rescues' who are promoting old fashioned, outdated methods and trainers and putting dogs in situations they should not be in is just too triggering for me at the moment.

The combination of anger and sadness is not healthy.

Environmental overload, figure 8 slip leads, corrections (yanks), scaring dogs by rattling cans of stones!!! WTF??

Studies show, that a mix of positive and punishment training increases anxiety. It makes us unpredictable.

The most important thing our rescue dogs need is PREDICTABILITY and to feel safe in order to build their confidence.

Rescues that promote such methods and trainers are FAILING the dogs that they are meant to be saving.

They are NOT offering proper rescue back-up.

If we truly love dogs - WE MUST DO BETTER.
