Mom had been in “her” bed 2 minutes before she took the picture of Bracken who hadn’t moved.
That little Ragdoll is a mink color. Soon this color will be called a Cherubim.
It was actually not too cold on our walk tonight.

We are at that time of year when Mom can’t take many pictures or her fingers freeze.
We are also at the time of year when we get ice balls between our toes.
We stopped at Gilroy’s for a new intake pipe for the toilet and got a weather strip for the door into the garage. The cats chewed the bottom up and cold air was leaking in. We want it all sealed up for the extreme cold temperatures we will have in a few days.
That’s a before and after of the living room!

Mom’s tiniest and sweetest patient of the day was the tiny Ragdoll kitten. On Saturday Lacy got to help give the gray girls, now Tara and Ellie their vaccines. They weren’t so tiny or sweet.
Mom ordered the first rug and got the second rug. She thought she could get used to it but it’s not her style and is going back. That huge box behind us is what they sent that rug in.
Thanks to Ronda for sending chicken fried rice and Jesse who got the pipe that we need to replace free from its connection.

Mom brought most everything in from the garage. This included notes she took in undergrad at the University of Findlay which now looks like a foreign language to her and some from Michigan State. We are proud of her for recycling them since she doesn’t need them anymore. She was just holding onto them as memorabilia because she studied so hard.

We saw Ellie, met Zsa Zsa, and Izzy brought us her pink duck. We took the river trail and got in the river even though Mom told us not to. Can you find Bracken in picture 6?
We made enough room for both our Jeeps to fit in the garage. Mom doesn’t know what to do with everything now that it’s organized. How do you make storage space when there is absolutely nowhere to put it?

Bracken took a nap in a cat bed before and sang along from home while Mom was at church
She got the bed back together and moved the dresser. She’s very tired of moving things. Trying to hold the footboard and insert the side panels was tricky and she got a bruise when the footboard came crashing down on her wrist. We’ll see how that baby looks tomorrow.

This morning Mom started to put our things back where it belongs. There’s almost enough space for both our Jeeps to be back in the garage together again.
We hadn’t been to the park in almost a week so we took a quick walk.
Mom still has to put a bed back together and pull all of the drawers out of the dresser again just to move is a couple feet to the left.

We got to meet one of our friends today and what are the chances an Irish Setter would come in when we were there. Let me tell you, extremely low.
Jojo was there too and his eye is getting a little better!
We waited in the Wrangler until after 8pm but floors are all done.

Mom had a nice visit with Papa.
The floor installer was still working when we got home. We took a walk around the subdivision while he finished up for the day. It was so cold that we got back in the Wrangler and had a snack. We had picked up an Arby’s roast beef sandwich for Papa. He had already eaten so only had half of the sandwich which left the rest for us!
The eating area and our bedroom, walk-in closet and both bathrooms are done. That meant that Mom could put her bed back together. The kitchen and front bedroom are yet to go. That means that Mom had to take the other bed apart.
Somehow in the process of moving the toilet a pipe got shorter because it doesn’t reach to where it needs to 🫤. He told us to call the plumber.
Back to our bed and bedroom.

Since our floors aren’t finished yet we headed to Gma and Papa’s for the day. We were sad when we realized that Papa wasn’t there.
He is back in the same hospital that did not prevent his pressure sore because it is now infected.
We took our walk at Oak Openings with Molly.
Our walk was chilly and we decided to go home just in time because a yippy GMO dog arrived.
We took a nap before we headed over to visit Papa.

Mom can’t keep her eyes open to post this.
Back to work! Bracken,,yes Bracken is so shy there that he won’t take treats but realized that he loves spray cheese.
It took 3 hours to get that tiny bladder stone flushed out of a cats urethra. Mom’s assistant, Lacy, was the successful flusher!
Mom wanted to check on my insides and they look good!
We LOVE our new floor so far!
Thanks Gina for sharing you delicious Minestrone with us!

We had to go to work because today was tear up the carpet day at home. We don’t like being behind bars but love to visit with all of Mom’s coworkers.
Bracken donated blood to help heal Jojo’s corneal ulcer. Did you know that serum can help to heal corneal ulcers?
Most of the carpet is torn up except the bedrooms and the closet with the desk that has a TV on it.
What we learned today is that the installers are not allowed to move beds, TVs or computers. Mom had to disassemble her Queen-sized sleigh bed all by herself.
Tonight we sleep in the front bedroom where we luckily have another bed. It will be the last room done to give the cats a place to be out of the way.

Well, we didn’t accomplish our goal of getting the entire condo painted before the floors are installed but we had a lot going on the past few months.
We need to get to sleep because we are going to work tomorrow!

We snuck a walk in before church. Bracken was concerned because his Wrangler had spent the night outside and had ice crystals on the windows.
Check out the look on his face as he seems to be running from the Yeti 😆.
Does anyone in town know if the International Brassworks building was purchased and what the plans are for it? We can’t figure it out from the pictures that are now over the windows.
We stayed home instead of waiting in the Wrangler when Mom was at church. We apologize to the west side of Blissfield because Mom could hear Bracken “singing” from inside the church.
We challenge you to find a village with residents kinder than here in Blissfield. Mom asked the son of our former neighbor, who passed away, if she could park the Wrangler in front of the now empty condo to keep it out of the way while our floors are installed this week. Not only did he say she could, he offered for her to park it in the garage!
Now the Wrangler is in our garage and the Grand Cherokee is in the garage next door.
Today we are trying to get everything we can off the floor since tomorrow starts the flooring project. Today was the Epiphany so the nativity is put away too.
