That beautiful redhead is Sadie. Her favorite critters are squirrels.
We had a big box delivered today!
Can you tell what it is?
Ninety minutes later it became an outdoor shelter for the kitty who eats here and may or may not have a home. We put a heating mat in there for him too.

We got our walk in before the rain.
Bracken ended up in the fish pond again.
We ducked a tiny Wrangler and found more pumpkins for Amanda’s cows and goats.
Thanks Denise Adams for the Fancy Feast. At least we think it was from you.
After we unpacked the pumpkins we packed all the things that Mom cleared out and took them to the The Open Door of Delta.
We barely fit with all the things.
The Wrangler did great driving in the rain and we are thankful.

On the way to work Mom ended up behind this trailer. A few seconds later the sign on the edge of the road became visible. Was Mom just supposed to leave her Jeep on the highway? 😉
It rained on our walk and even though we don’t appear to be having a great time we loved every second of it. Otherwise Mom would gladly have stay inside and dry.

Mom is back to work tomorrow. I’m not upset. She’s a lot.
She helped load the sets off shelves and tables at 3pm and the scaffolding at 5pm. She’s tired and she didn’t evening paint today.
She had to get a new pair of tennis shoes because the left shoe of her current pair was falling apart.
The kittens are 8 weeks old tonight. Please let us know if you are interested in these tiny miracles.

Our first stop of the day was Emmy’s kitchen for Cinnamon Roll Sunday!
Bracken played in the leaves with his ball. Mom tried to find it and couldn’t. Five minutes later she realized that I had it the whole time!
Bracken found a puddle in the playground to drink out of. It was very dirty but he seems fine.
We made a new friend and Bracken looked for Felicia before we went home.
The shelves and tables are at their new home.
Once Mom helped move them out we rewarded ourselves for a pretty productive week “off” with a cinnamon roll.

It’s the last day of “vacation”. For the love of God Almighty don’t paint!

Buckle up and hold on tight. We had a busy day.
There was evidence of a critter in the pantry this morning. Mom saw it 🐭 run into one of our bones. She used pieces of cardboard, blocked him in there and carried the bone outside. Bracken went along and then watched for him with Charlie and Ginny.
Mom read that mice can fit through a space 1/4” wide. That’s about the width of a pencil 🤯. We found another point of entry through the vent below the sink. Mom took the vent off to take to the hardware store for advice on how to keep mice from getting through. We put a cereal box in the opening so tiny kittens couldn’t get lost in the duct work. The hardware store workers were kind and just gave us some scraps of screen to cover the vent.
Then we took our walk.
When we got back we did some recycling prep while Mom wrapped the vent with screen and put it back in place.
Then we napped and she painted. Again. We do have one room done and the rest of the rooms have shorter ceilings. Thank goodness.
Bracken prayed and sang from the Wrangler when Mom was at church.
Then, get ready for it. The best part of the day was visiting Papa. Yes! We got to go in! It had been 6 weeks since we’ve seen Papa. Bracken whined a little but it was me who barked 😳. Well, they were just finishing dinner and I like food. A lot.
Then we finally got to see the kitty that Mom leaves food out for every night. We are going to order a shelter for him to stay warm this winter.

Mom completely underestimated the amount of time and hard work needed to paint our house. She started by painting 1 wall at 8am. Then she needed to move the shelves and table we are giving away to get to that wall. By the time she did that it was 1:30!
Our walk was much later and a little shorter than normal. The Wrangler looked so much dirtier after the mud has dried.
Bracken was jealous of my slobber leaf.
The ducks loved the car wash!
Today was wash sheets day and Bracken has such a hard life because he had to move so Mom could take the sheets. Well, he didn’t move. Mom had to pull the sheets out from under him.
One more wall was finished tonight.
We wanted to have the whole condo painted this week but we might get 1 room done. 🫤

We took the Wrangler off-roading.
Technically we took Yankee Rd to visit Papa and the section we took is dirt.
We still didn’t go in. Mom is worried we would get too excited and riled up and bark. Once Bracken starts barking he only stops when he’s ready to stop and that can take 5 minutes.
We think painting is stupid.

Today a guy came and measured all of the rooms in our house so we a get an estimate on new floors.
It was raining so Mom put us in the Wrangler and stayed out there with us so we didn’t lose it with a stranger in our house. While we waited Mom used the Wrangler hood as a desk to go through mail. Then we gave dirty looks to the postal carrier and watched Fr. Joseph J Krupp’s podcast. It took longer than we thought but the result was a little, digital layout of our house. Plus the nice guy had roof racks on his car so we gave him the one that was accidentally delivered to us!
Even though it was rainy we still went for a walk. Just a little shorter than normal. We looked for Felicia and Bracken treed a squirrel.
Mom realized one of her gloves when missing her her fingers got cold a few minutes into our walk. She was so happy to find it on the way back to the Wrangler.
On our way home we picked up some discarded pumpkins for our dog-sitter, Amanda’s, cows and goats.

Thanks Jesse for letting us borrow your scaffolding. This will make taping and painting the high walls so much easier!
We didn’t actually paint today though. We moved all the stuff off of the shelves because we need to move them anyway. We decided to just give the shelves and TV table away since we don’t actually watch TV. Let us know if you’re interested!
If anyone nearby would like to have the cat books and/or the horse books let us know. We are waiting to hear back from a crown and if she doesn’t want them, they are up for grabs.
The most nostalgic things we found when going through all the stuff were the ET VHS, DVD and little figurine. That’s Mom’s favorite movie. We’ve never seen it before. When we finally get to watch it, it won’t be on a VCR or a DVD player but through Amazon but she’s keeping both of them anyway. Mom feels old.

It has a new home!

Anybody in Blissfield or close by want this beautiful set of shelves and TV table behind us?
It’s in great condition. The glass on the right door of the TV table is missing. I accidentally broke it when I was trying to get to the Furbo.

Mom cleaned out the garage while we waited for our water meter to be updated.
This roof rack crossbar was delivered incorrectly to us 2 years ago. We contacted Fed Ex and no one came to pick it up. Gotta love Fed Ex. Anyone want it?
We met Jhango on our walk . He is an actual long-haired chocolate lab. That’s what people think we are! 🙄 His Mom, Leslie gave us some treats.
Our app lost us for a mile but our phone said our total distance was 4.6 miles and over 10,000 steps.
