Well schooled in three paces and has a scopey jump - just needs more miles on the clock! Hacks out happily in company.

Would suit small adult or competent child. Not suitable for a complete novice.

Coaching and full support available as well as the opportunity to compete. Would just love to see this pony getting out and about and furthering his education.

12 people too big for the ponies they were riding were asked to dismount at a major show for equine welfare reasons.

Lovely family cob

13.2hh 10 yr old black cob mare

Slow and steady happy hacker type. Has been used in a small riding school for adults and children. Great on the lead rein and has been used for complete novices. Helped teach many children to ride and achieve first canter on the lunge or on lead rein.
Can be sticky off the lead rein as she takes her confidence from the rider. Will happily canter round and pop a small course for a more confident jockey.

Will never be a world be**er but would make a great family cob for older confident rider and younger lead rein rider.

I just feel she has served her time in our riding school and now deserves a one to one home. She is a favourite in the saddle club as she is so quiet and safe to handle in the stable and on the ground.

Easy to do in every way - good to catch, groom, handle, clip, load, travel etc. She is presently shod in front but would go barefoot if not doing lots of roadwork
Completely unphased by farm traffic and heavy plant machinery.
Recently had teeth and back done (January 2023)

Crystal 5 yr old Welsh Setion A grey mare

Crystal is looking for an active knowledgable home. She lunges and long - reins nicely and has an amazing trot. She has been lightly backed and is ready to further her education. With some more work she would make a great riding or driving pony.
She enjoys being groomed and fussed and has been dressed with tinsel and antlers at Christmas Saddle Club and she was perfectly content. Great to catch, lead, load in lorry or trailer, horsewalker, have her feet trimmed and clip.
Crystal was extremely overweight when she came to us and will only go to a knowledgeable home who understand the need for weight management. She has been blood tested and shown to be clear of EMS but will need to have proper management including restricted grazing to maintain her good health.
She is NOT suitable for the show ring having sustained an injury to her off side upper eyelid. This does not affect her vision but is unsightly. This has been checked and deemed unsuitable for repair by a veterinary plastic surgeon.

Crystal would be suitable as a brood mare, a companion on managed grazing or a ridden or driven pony.

Homes will be vetted

We are happy to continue her education until she is fully broken and riding away if required by future purchaser.

Three figures sought for Crystal but this will increase as her education continues

🌟 🌟CRYSTAL UPDATE 🌟🌟

Crystal’s blood tests have come back and she does not have EMS. The vet was gobsmacked and said she has never seen a pony that was a more obvious candidate for the disease. She also gave me a huge well done and said our management of diet and exercise has completely reversed the symptoms and made a remarkable difference to her health.

Unfortunately it was not such good news with her eye. Having fully considered the options it was decided that a surgical repair to the eyelid would not be undertaken as a successful outcome could not be assured.

She still has function with her eye and I would hate to make anything worse for her so it will be left just as it is.

Crystal thoroughly enjoyed getting pampered and handled by children at the “Saddle Club” and she is going to make a brilliant children’s pony

✨✨✨Crystal Update ✨✨✨

Delighted to report that Crystal has lost a whopping 80 kg and is now almost down to her target weight.

She has recently had bloods taken to check for EMS (Equine Metabolic Syndrome) and the results are awaited.

We have also discussed the possibility of surgery to repair her damaged eyelid but this will only be attempted if it is likely to improve the function of her eye and not just for cosmetic purposes.

Crystal will be broken to ride and maybe even to drive too and then will be looking for an active home where her owners understand the need for weight management.

Suitable as a happy hacker and / or lead rein pony.

Has the potential to be an all rounder /pony cub pony but would benefit from significant schooling as can be nappy in the arena at present with inexperienced riders.

Great on the lead rein and will happily follow the person on the ground. Super out hacking, not phased by trucks, tractors or cyclists whizzing by.

Can be a typical cob at times and be a bit bargy if he thinks he can get away with it but stands quietly to groom, tack up,
mount etc. Great to catch.

Crae and Pippin at the MGA Scotland Winter League at Morris on Sunday.
Pippin loved being a games pony for the day and showed an unexpected turn of speed racing against the Under 15 ponies.

Great day at Morris with the MGA Scotland winter league.
Ryan and Tegan won the Under 18 individuals. Still some fitness work to do with Tegan after her time off but she ran well. 🥇
Pippin the riding school pony made her debut as a games pony and was a superstar with young Crae Urquhart on board.
She showed an unexpected turn of speed and enjoyed racing against the bigger ponies. So proud of both Crae and Pippin on their first ever competition. They did themselves proud and took second place in the Under 12 Individuals Competition 🥈

🛑 ‼️Crystal’s diet is working‼️ 🛑

She has lost an amazing 70 kg since she came to us and is now down to 260kg

She has a new lease of life and is obviously feeling better in herself with such a significant weight loss.

She is also cheeky enough to steal some hay from Teddy’s mouth 😂
- well she is hungry 😉

She still has a bit of weight to lose and then will be broken to ride and drive. So pleased with her progress and that she now has a bright future ahead of her.

Crystal Update.

Crystal has lost an amazing 40 KG since we first weighed her which means she has lost even more since she came to us as we didn’t weigh her for nearly two weeks after her arrival.

Still a long way to go but definitely heading in the right direction.

Horses or ponies only work three days a week with a maximum of 2hours in the arena per day for a few select clients. Wonderful and varied hacking also available.

UPDATE - I walked up to him (rather nervously given his history) with a head collar and a handful of pony nuts and he walked straight over to me to get caught. I couldn’t quite believe it and was so relieved. All the hard work we have done building his trust has definitely paid off 😮‍💨

So instead of Tic-Toc the runaway wind farm pony grazing happily in his new round pen with his buddy, this is what I found……..😫

Sparky was Ryan’s pony way back when.
We bought her in 2015 and Ryan did Pony
Club Games, BS Academy Camp and started MGA with her. She was a brilliant pony.
Ryan had great success with Sparky doing pairs with Morgan, he rode his first Home International in the scotland Team with her and made loads of A finals in Northamptonshire Under 12s. She was sadly outgrown and was sold on.
It’s a small world and yesterday we were asked to transport her down to her new home as we headed to Newark for the MGA British Pairs Championships.
It was so lovely to see her again although she does look tiny.
