Nebelungs can be intense cats...and they are not that bothered about personal space. 🤣
We're a small cattery for champion pedigree GCCF and TICA registered Nebelung cats based in Shetland! Our Cats:
SGCA Evgeniya's Xenia of Truevine, aka Xenia.
She loves face kisses and cuddles, she loves other cats and people, and she is a sweet natured cat. QGCA Brumeux Eva of Truevine, aka Eva. Eva is a neutered female, and she loves to perch on shoulders, likes to be carried about, and is gentle and good natured. She is a motherly type but also fun loving. TGCA Brumeux Brindie is one of our two brothers. He has a personality all his own, and is very
much the cat around whom.everything revolves here at Truevine. Brindie likes lap cuddles, and will sit on a lap for hours. He loves to play with feathery toys, and he loves his brother Oshie. SGCA Brumeux Oscian, aka Oshie, is the other half of our pair of boys. Oshie is an incredibly patient cat, the brightest of all our cats. He likes to leap onto a person's back and ride around up there taking in the view. He loves his brother, and the two of them are like an old married couple. GCCF MQ Brumeux Le Dieu Bleu aka 'Ovin' - Our cattery's resident stud. Ovin was earmarked from an early age by us (we have the benefit of having photographed all of Brumeux's kittens) because of his lovely personality, amazingly thick and silky fur and his 'sparkle factor'. Ovin continues his early trend and has become a firm friend of all of the household. He is Xenia's best buddy and attended the birth of his first kittens with her, grooming and calming her during the labour.

A cat's eye view of breakfast time. :)
And now Colby has seen Jacjac leap up there and started thinking...hmmm...when his sister Mina did it he wasn't interested but one of his mates has now done it and he was looking up and thinking!
Our vet here in Shetland comes out to our house, how amazing is that? 5 cats had their boosters yesterday, including Dagobert who had to be purritoed. He has forgiven us now. :)
Jacjac has been learning from his naughty Neb family that he should try more adventure...tonight for the first time he jumped all the way up here! He sees Mina do it everyday and finally gave it a go. :) He has learned a lot from these crazy cats, and he loves all the feline connections. Yannaël likes to play with his tail and he is so gentle in telling her no.
Yannaël is now 7 months old and SO CUTE!!
Brindie wanted me to know that I was missed. 🥰
And finally home to a nice breakfast!
The final ferry, back to Shetland!
Trains, Busses and Ferries! We had a good night on the ferry, we took a coach to Newcastle Central this morning and had a snack while we wait for our next train. And we were not the only cat travellers! Even if your cat is older, you absolutely can get them used to travel. I won't lie and say it is easy because it isn't. :) But it is very doable and more folks are doing it which helps us all. It is so rewarding travelling with them.
Kitten with a view!
Baby Yannaël is starting her long journey to Shetland!
Night time cuddles!
Jacjac squishing himself into a teeny box for naps :)
Eva showing how warm and toasty Shetland wool blankets are! Shwtland wool is the warmest wool, and the more it is washed the softer and fluffier it gets.
Happy St Gertrude's Day! Gertrude is the matron saint of cats and therefore also of cat people everywhere. :)
Around this time of year, most people are gearing up for St. Paddy’s Day (or, Saint Patrick's Day). Indeed, every year, March 17th heralds another year of drinking, shenanigans, and green-colored everything. I’m personally looking forward to curling up on my couch and chugging down a large Shamr...
Happy Arrival Day Brindie and Oshie- 12 years today we collected them from Shetland, never dreaming we would live here! The start of an era!
Thinking of our dear Ovin, and his sister Sylver, they would have been 10 today. Happy heavenly birthdays, very much missed. ❤️🌈
4 siblings! Clockwise: Cuthbert, Mina, Deretha, Dagobert
Breakfast times are a well coordinated affair. After they eat like this, they chaotically go round each other's bowls in case someone has nicer food, and although the food is the same they still eat each other's food. 🤣 They never fight about food, they are happy to share with each other.
I asked who stole my wool and used it as a playtoy but no one confessed! It seems unharmed...maybe the cats are hinting that they need their own wool balls to play with! I think it was Ethelred, he inherited a love of wooly things from his dad Ovin who used to carry them around the house too.
A very happy birthday to our big Russian Blue boy Jac! Enjoying his birthday cuddles. :)
Brindie belly rubs! 🥰
Oshie has half forgiven me for putting Dronspot on his neck...but only half. :) Yesterday was worming day for 16 cats, even though they are fully indoors at the moment. Why? Because field mice make their way into our old house here and the cats are doing their jobs well...but that also means parasite risk. No one likes worming day but Oshie gets personally offended!🐀🪱🤢☠️
Beautiful Beatrix, mum of our C and D litters❤️❤️❤️
Cedric really sleeps like this 🥰
The bin lorry managed to get to us yesterday through the snow- Mina is NOT a bin lorry fan! She did her best meerkat impression with her biggest eyes to stare at the lorry operators. But she didn't growl at him this time. 🤣
It has been very snowy in Shetland, hope you're staying warm wherever you are.

It is not all cuteness with Brindie and Oshie- Oshie has household dibs of first go on any new things, and he made sure Brindie remembered that he has to wait his turn in the ball pit! 🤣
Jac is learning words and the ways of being a Truevine cat from all our naughty Nebelungs. 🤣 Today he learned "Drink" as a word!
We're doing a bit of DIY today, it is very noisy. The cats all respond differently, but we give them a warning by announcing "Hoover! Hoover!" whenever there will be a loud noise like a hoover. We do this so the scared ones can go away before the noise starts. You can see Dreda (Truevine Aethyldreda) does not care- lap cuddles are paramount!
Oshie and Brindie, still sharing everything as if their lives depend on it, 11 years on. :) They are each the only cat the other will let be this close. Not all littermates get on like this, but these two do. ❤️
Eva last night cleverly getting a drink! We have four fountains but everyone knows human water is best. :)
Look at this giant purry boy!!! Jac has settled in well with us and his new cat family over the last 6 months. ❤️
Happy birthday (Oct 6!) to our dear Brumeux baby, Eva- 10 years old yesterday!! What would we do without you Eva? She is so cheerful and patient, she is chatty, loving, and kind, but also has a clear idea what she likes and doesn't like. :) She was an unlooked for blessing, and we are grateful that she came into our lives. Here she is having some birthday chicken. :)
Sometimes big brothers play nicely, sometimes they try to beat you up and knock you off the shelf and humans have to tell them off! Dagobert was playing but Cedric took it too far, which he sometimes does because #thuglife. Dagobert is much smaller and far less agile, he could fall awkwardly and break something because he can't twist or turn easily. Cedric got a squirt from the water bottle for this one and a firm NO!
Dagobert on a peak drama day last week...dramatically wouldn't come inside when asked, then stomped inside when I wasn't looking, then dramatically went to sleep, and here he is literally shoving food down his gob without chewing it or anything! He is a little cat but in his mind he is mighty. 😂😻🙀
A short video of our enclosure and shade measures. Do you have a catio or cat enclosure? How are you keeping it cool?
