About me and my business ....
My name is Liz and I am a Professional Dog Walker and Pet Attender.
I started Ebony Pet Services on 1st January 2015, and I am pleased to say that I still work for most of the original clients who came on board back then. I currently have around 30 active clients,
I love that I can share my lifelong love of animals with those who use my services. My aim is to provide a quality service for pet owners who lead busy lives and sometimes need an extra pair of hands to ensure their beloved animals are cared for in the best possible way. I give my personal attention to each and every pet that I attend, whether that is for a home visit or for exercise.
For dogs, I specialise in one-to-one walks. These will be on-lead (for the dog's safety and our peace of mind) with the use of extendable or long leads where appropriate. I will normally use your own lead etc. unless otherwise requested/appropriate. Each walk/visit will be for the full time you have requested - my travel time is not taken from your time. Should weather conditions dictate, walks will be shortened (i.e. in severe winter or excessive summer heat) but your pet will still be attended for the full time booked. Walks can be on a regular basis, 1-5 days a week and once or twice a day, or on an ad-hoc basis as and when you need them.
Your pet's health, safety and welfare are my first and foremost concern at all times. I have good quality leads and harness, checked and kept in top condition. I always carry plenty of p**p bags! I have towels for drying off wet paws/coats - these are never used on more than one animal and are washed after each use. I have a fluorescent jacket and lead strips for bad light, and for the summer I have a "Cool Coat" and collapsible water bowl. Hygiene is very important to me, with wipes and hand sanitiser used after each visit.
For cats (and other small pets) I offer daily home visits - usually once or twice a day - to feed, fuss, play with and clean up for them as required. Home visits can be arranged 7 days a week, subject to my availability. They are usually before 10am and/or after 4pm.
I also offer a pet transportation service, so if you need your animal taken to or collected from a boarding establishment, grooming parlour or even the vet, I can provide this service for you. I have both dog and cat travelling cages and a dog seatbelt harness.
I am fully insured to walk dogs, transport animals and to enter your property. Your keys are also fully insured against loss whilst in my possession. I have a Dog First Aid Certificate and a Dog Walking and Pet Home Sitting Diploma (Professional). I also have a recent DBS Check and am a Gold member of The National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers (NARPS) and the British Horse Society (BHS). I am qualified to BHS Stage 2 and have Equine Nutrition and First Aid for Horses Certificates.
All bookings will be invoiced, usually on or before the first walk/visit takes place. Payment can be made by either cash or bank transfer, preferably on or before the first walk/visit, and not later than one week after the date of the first walk/visit. Any walk/visit cancelled by an owner after payment has been received will be credited to the next invoice (or refunded), providing cancellation is notified at least 24 hours before the walk/visit is due to take place. Any cancellations within 24 hours of the walk/visit will be subject to a 50% fee retention. Any cancellations made by myself will be credited/refunded in full.
My prices are very reasonable and competitive, and will depend on the services you require and your location in relation to my home area. Please contact me for an accurate quotation.
