Zelda is in need of a forever home so please share her pictures far and wide and let’s find her just that! This little lady has stolen our hearts. She is super gentle and so loving, despite being timid at first. It was an absolute pleasure to have her in the salon today!

Last year we teamed up with Lucky’s Legacy rescue, a charity that finds homes for abandoned and abused animals from Romania. We wanted to help by giving these beautiful dogs the very best start to their life in the UK by giving them a full pamper experience before finding their forever home!

Hey everyone!
Lets talk teeth🦷!!

Do you check or clean your dogs teeth regular?
Have you noticed your dogs breath has become rather whiffy or has a build up of plaque that just wont shift or is getting worse?
Maybe like me youve got older dogs and tried tooth gels, water additives, bones and chews, tooth brushes with toothpaste (which they hate) but its not working and your getting to the only option of taking them to the vets to be put under for a dental which can be risky?

Have you heard of Emmi-pet??
Some groomers are now offering this service along side grooming to help keep your dogs snappers pearly white and their gums healthy. Stopping bad breath and preventing that dreaded trip to the vets!
Emmi-pet uses ultrasound along with a special tooth paste to clean the teeth and gum line.
NO VIBRATIONS, NO NOISE, NO NEED TO GO UNDER ANESTHETIC!

My groomer friend Kirsty is trained to provide this service so i turned to her to help out my little man Austin.
After trying various products and chews/bones to keep the plaque at bay hes got to 12yrs old and the build up has started to make his gums very sore 🙈😩
Kirsty did a consultation and assured me it would help him and we wouldnt need a trip to the vets yay!

The picture attatched is after his first session. Look how clean his teeth are! And his breath is already so much better! A couple more sessions and his gums will start to settle and return to being healthy and more importantly more comfortable for him!
I cant recommend Kirsty enough she put him at ease straight away and he looked very comfortable and happy throughout the whole process (hes a massive whimp at the best of times!)

⛔⚠️ Welfare grooms only ⚠️⛔

Due to the lockdown us dog groomers are now only allowed to groom welfare cases.

A welfare case is
✅ A dog that has matting of the coat causing discomfort or pain
✅ A vet has advised grooming due to a skin condition

If your dog has a coat that needs regular grooming to avoid knotting/matting or to remove excess/shedding coat you can do the following steps at home to keep your pets comfortable

✅Check your dogs -
Lift the coat using your hands, you want to be able to see and feel down to the skin.
The main areas to check are:
* Face (beards)
* Behind the ears and ends of the ears
* Legs (especially the armpits)
* Chest and belly
* Feet ( between toes and pads)

✅Brush and comb your dogs coat - make sure you use the correct brush and comb for your dogs coat, lift the coat and brush the coat down first then finish with combing through, working in sections.
By lifting the coat your ensuring you are getting down near the skin, to knots and the undercoat and not just brushing over it.

If your dog is matted or has skin issues and a vet recommends grooming to help then an appointment can be made for grooming.

If you need advice on brushing and combing, which brushes and combs to use or in general to keep your dogs comfortable until we can book appointments as normal you can call or message me

Just a quick post regarding the latest lockdown.
I am allowed to continue working so all appointments booked will stay as planned 😊
Due to lockdown please ensure you are only dropping off if it is part of your daily exercise or to go shopping/to work. If that is not possible i can pick up and drop off.
Continue to wear masks and use the exchange system i have been using.

⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️Covid-19 update ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

As youve all seen we are going into lockdown as of Thursday 5th November.

I will continue to groom during lockdown. If you cant incorporate dropping off and picking up your dogs into daily exercise or essential shopping i can pick up and drop off from homes if we can exchange in a secured area.
Please ensure you wear a mask and inform me immediately if you or anyone in your household experiences symptoms or needs to shield as i will have to cancel your appojntment.

Hi everyone just a quick post to let you all know I am getting through my appointment list as fast as I can. Please understand due to the amount of disinfecting, cleaning and travel time if I am picking up between each customer, I am limited as to how many appointments I have in a day and I need to get those that I had to cancel in first before anyone else.

So the past week I have been getting ready to reopen and get back to grooming your pooches. Due to covid 19 I have had to make obvious changes to how I work so I've been busy sorting out and practising, ( with my own dogs 😂) how this will work so that I can keep everyone and myself as safe as possible. I'm aiming to open next week, I have been messaging and calling some of you already, but if you wasn't already booked in please if you call or message me understand it may be another week or two before your dogs groom.
I will be wearing more ppe than usual and the grooms will take a little longer than usual.

Hi everyone what gorgeous weather we are having!
I've been getting quite a few calls and texts asking when I'll be reopening. Quick answer is I don't know 🤷‍♀️ 😂
It could be in 2weeks it could be in 5weeks (though I'm hoping it's not that long)
Until lockdown is lifted, we all have more freedom and I'm confident I can work whilst protecting you my customers and myself I'm afraid I will be staying closed.
All my customers who had to be cancelled due to lockdown are on my list to rebook and I will be in touch to rebook ASAP.
