It was lovingly restored and renovated by the previous owner in 2006, retaining as many of the original features as possible, whilst making it comfortable for today's modern traveller. ra del Sueve. The surrounding area is a nature reserve and sanctuary for Asturcones horses. It is the prefect place to use as a base for exploring the whole of Asturias, only a few minutes drive to the magnificent beaches and rugged coastline, 30 minutes drive from the imposing Picos de Europa, and approximately 40km from the exciting and bustling cities of Oviedo and Gijon. There are also a wide variety of activities to do, from walking, cycling, canoeing, horse riding, quad biking, fishing, hunting, paint balling, and so on. Asturias is also an area of great interest for painters, geologists, and students of roman history, pre-roman history and pre-historic history. In addition, the Camino de Santiago and the Camino de Covadonga, pass very close to the Casona.
