Before and after of Helga💕💕💕
On April 8th One of our volunteers happened to be at the vet with one of her foster kitties when she was speaking to a woman in the waiting room that had a sweet cat that was a stray that was hanging around her house outside that she was feeding The cat was missing some hair and she was concerned because she appeared to be pregnant so she brought it to the vet to have her checked out. The cat was full of fleas and had flea dermatitis And as always when strays are roaming had worms. And she was definitely very pregnant. This very sweet woman really didn’t know much about animals and her plan was to take her home, Let her back outside, Continue to feed her and let her have her babies outdoors. The more we spoke I convinced her to let me take her home because that was not a good plan to have babies outside since there are predators and it was still cool at night, and most likely kittens would not survive. She was very grateful and so our Foster took her home, even though she didn’t have room she made room. (first picture is day one in fister home of her being pregnant)
On April 27th Helga gave birth to 5 healthy babies and was most attentive, perfect mom. (Picture 2 is the morning she gave birth. She was so proud)
(Picture 3 was days later of her feeding her babies in her foster home)
The last picture and video of our today June 22 and she is now ready to find her forever family.
As you can see in the video, her babies are all running around behind her and extremely healthy, and on their way to being fully vetted enough for adoption in about a month from now.
But today is Helga‘s turn. She is soooo sweet. A vocal cat who loves to “talk” to you . Loves to be picked up and held. She’s friendly with other cats but very nervous around dogs still. She’s more of a dry food fan than wet food. Her previously sparse spots from flea dermatitis are filling in well and I have a feeling will be completely gone with a little time.
She is now spayed so no more babies for her. Up-to-date on shots, given rabies vaccine, negative for FIV/FELV, wormed and flea treated. She is still in her foster home so if you are interested in meeting her, please send us a message in messenger and we will set up a meet and great. Her adoption fee is $75 cash
When you adopt from ASAP, you sign a contract agreeing that our cats cannot go outside or live outside and cannot be declawed.
If you have existing pets, we recommend to acclimate slowly and here is a link that will guide you through that process.
