Stopping Ranger from playing used to be a hard task but now it is simple. He understands "no" means to stop and pay attention. Not that he was misbehaving but it is good practice for those situational things such as bothering guests, jumping, puppy biting and anything else you can think of. You can now stop the behavior and give a new task to do. In this video we do "no" and then send to "place" to stop the behavior.

Look at that face! This is Ranger staying for a 2 week board and train. He needs to work on his energy and when it's appropriate to play or relax. He's a big nibbler and jumper so we need to tackle that as well. However only really working with him a day he understands come, sit, down and place which is really good!

I normally don't walk dogs on harnesses since they typically are meant for pulling or even if they do walk well they can at any point pull you over if they really want to get to something. However I'm always up for a challenge and we have only been working on no pulling and following on leash for a few days. Soldier is doing well and starting to show his potential to be a great service dog!

Soldier working on all his cues. Come, sit, down and place. His owner had started working on come and sit before he came. We introduced place yesterday and he started learning down today. He seems to be a fast learner but just gets distracted easily. We also started remote collar training as well.

MJ went home this weekend and did a great job with his family. He still has that puppy energy but he has all the abilities to behave and listen when needed. Great Job MJ!!!

Sparty went home yesterday and showed his family his obedience training, loose leash walking and off leash recall. Way to go Sparty! Can't wait to hear how he is doing.

Henry is learning! He has some stressors we are working through but he is willing to participate. He is starting to wear his remote collar and will get some test runs today. I like to find the lowest setting they recognize and ask them to do a few cues and then we move on. Tomorrow we will use it for everything and as the week goes on he should be listening well. The. We make the switch and only use it when non complaint. Let's go Henry!

We have Henry doing a two week board and train. He needs to work on everything. The biggest issue is his resource guarding and reactivity. We are doing as much as possible as always in the two weeks to gain control on and off leash and to also establish some new rules.

Andy stayed in place during this video. Ranger only came out twice. It's important to understand that every dog has their own understanding. The important part is always helping them fix the mistakes that are made to make them more obedient. Every dog will break cues sooner or later but it's our job as the pet parent to make things how we want them. It is easier said than done but most things are possible.

This is what I'm dealing with. Keeping one dog in place while I give the other permission. I can also release them both and send one or both back. I had to correct each of them a few times but it is part of the process. You will even see me use my legs to push the dogs toward place when they are not listening. This is about 3 minutes of working. Good job Ranger and Andy!

Acorn has accomplished everything she needs to continue to be successful with her family. She understands loose leash walking, the remote collar and all the cues. The biggest thing is just taking time with introductions when needed. Great job Acorn!

Dave is starting to understand when he hears "no" it means he isn't done with the task and to keep working. Acorn is working hard to not escape the situation.

Dave has a good foundation so we must move on and find some trouble to get into to make sure he doesn't pull his move over again.

Maggie is doing great with her leash walking and focusing more on where I am and also leaving things alone that she is interested in. We passed an outdoor cat, dogs, people and some squirrels.
