We post the pups we got from the emergency call and as you can see, you cant help falling in love with them. All 6 are gorgeous babies and we hope that they will find homes easy.
To be easier, we posted one photo of each pup. The first 3 pups are the boys and the next 3 are the girls. The boys have more black hair than the girls. We have 4 long hair pups and 2 short haired. From the shorthaired, one is male and one is female. All 6 pups will be very small to small size. The pups are 1,5 months old and will be vaccinated in the next days if they dont get adopted by then.
We remind you that the pups are too young to be adopted abroad. For pups to fly, they need to be 4 months old at least and these are only 1,5 months old. If we can find foster homes for them, then we can reserve for adopting abroad. For more infos about adopting or fostering, please message us.

Seriously not our best time to take pups but what we saw last night, werent good conditions for pups or any dog to live. Even though we couldnt take even a fly due to space, we took yesterday 5 pups.
So 2 days we got a distress call for help with a litter and 4 smalll dogs. Knowing that we have sick pups at the vet, absolutely no space at the shelter, we explained that we would do our best to help but in the next week or even after. Thankfully we arranged a visit to go see the dogs and pups. What we saw surprised us very badly and its the least we can say. The conditions we saw, arent for any type of life to be there and its very sad that the government allows such places to exist. We can not post any photos of the place or say more but the place will be cleaned and the owner will go to a hospital to get medical care.
The first photo is where the pups were sleeping. In a small storage behind old appliances in the shade among other garbages. When we saw them in that place, we knew we couldn't postpone picking them up. We called a lady we know and asked a very special favour so for 1-2 days the pups would have a place to stay. That was last night so by tomorrow the pups will need other homes. The doggy family are peki crosses and the pups of course peki crosses as well. From the 4 adults we will pick in the next few days, theres another pregnant female so she will need a separate foster home as well. The pups are 3 females and 3 males. All will be smallish size and as you can see they are adorable. We estimate them around 1,5 months old cause the owner didnt know exact day they were born. He wasn't in position to be honest to know much.
If anyone can help with fostering please message us. For now, the help with fostering or adopting, needs to be in Cyprus. The pups are very young to be able to fly out of the island. Remember that they need to be 4 months old before they can fly and these are not even 2 months. Any donations towards food or their vet care will be very appreciated. We 've got paypal account, its [email protected] and also revolut and a verified bank account. Please help with fostering, its very urgent.

Yes! Yes! And yeeessss!!!!! Shes finally in a home!!! Nina had an offer for a foster home in Uk so she flew yesterday!!! After 15 months in our shelter and after her whole life living in a cage, this sweet lady has a warm bed in a loving home.
Its really amazing to see dogs that suffered for nothing, get a wonderful life at last. The huge majority of hunters in Cyprus, keeps their dogs in small cages, builded with crap materials and is awful conditions with no protection from the rain or heat. The abandoned hunting dogs we get are kept in those cages and thats why we try our best to find them a home.
Once Nina is settles will be posted and promoted for for adoption. It will take her a couple of weeks to find her way into a home and learn that theres life outside a cage. If anyone is near Ipswich, Uk and wants to visit her till then, message us and we can arrange it. Nina has a reduced fee as her vet fees are sponsored.

We visited this boy again to see how its going. We visit him often just dont post often about him since hes got a slow process. Its not a broken leg that will heal in a couple of weeks or a cut that needs a few days to heal. Gordon was shot in the face and lost half his face. That takes months unfortunately and its paiful. As you can see from the photo, he started to accept the transplant on his face. Once the bones on his jaw were fixed, a piece of skin was transplanted from his neck to his left side of his face so the hole would be covered. It wasnt easy for his body but hes doing very well and trust us. We owe a huge thank you to V3ts clinic for treating him and caring for him all this time. The vets there and the medical staff are amazing.
They all love Gordon there cause hes the sweetest boy and the easiest dog to care for even though it was painful gor him to clean his face. Hopefully that will heal and soon he will be out playing and enjoying the sun. If anyone wants to help with his vet bill, we would be very grateful. Hes already there for 3 months so you can imagine what the cost for him. Our paypal is [email protected] and we can send you our bank account. We 're also trying now to make an account with Givengain to be easier to for people to donate and avoid paypal who charges us a lot. We can really use the help. 🙏

Remember this gorgeous boy? He didnt change much now that hes gone to Uk but hes nothing like the dog that was in a cage at the shelter.
When we first got Winston, he was a skinny and very sick dog. He had pneumonia and was very lucky we saw him in the pound. If we didnt take him then, he would 've been dead. Winston spend 3-4 weeks at the vet with severe pneumonia. We posted him in one of our videos when he was at the clinic. If you go back, you will see him cough and barely managing to sit from weakness. But he had will to live and he made it. Ever since he was at the shelter till recently when he had an offer for fostering in Uk from a lovely couple. Winston is now being fostered in East Grinstead, West Sussex and enjoys life with lots of fields next to him. He gets excited when he sees birds and squirrels but he learned to have obedience and not chase them like a looney. Hes lead trained of course and toilet trained. Hes not as big as an average british ep, hes smaller in size. If you look the last page, you will see him lying down next to hia furry brother whos a british english pointer. He looks like hes a small puppy.
Winston is friendly with other dogs and humans. We wouldn't place him in a home with cats cause back in Cyprus, he didnt like them. Hopefully now he will find a home, his own home. If you 're interested in adopting this handsome guy, please message us. You will love him once you meet him, trust us on that.

For those who believe that we 're just complaining without a serious reason for abandoned pups, think again. This is the 8th? 10th? litter we 're asked to help the last month? We cant. We just simply cant cause we dont have any space and we have sick pups at the vet already. Its impossible to take more pups as much as we want to help.
Yesterday we posted a litter of 9 pups aged 1,5 months taken to the pound. Today another litter. Where is the support from our government to rescues? What efforts are done to prevent all these pups being dumped like garbage???? Cause these pups were found in a garbage area, you can see it in the photo. The person who found them, called us if we can help but unfortunately we said no. We explained to him that we have sick pups, its not right to take more pups and risk these getting sick as well.
We 're begging people in Cyprus to help with fostering or adopting so the pups can find soon a home. We dont mind foatering or adopting abroad but we cant send the pups abroad without a certain process that takes around a month. Thats why we 're asking for foster homes always in Cyprus when we get new pups.
If anyone can help even one pup, we would be really grateful

What a stunner isnt it? 😍 What a gorgeous young lady. She was around 7 months old when she was found back in January and Lucy now is around 9 months old. Shes has grown up and became a beautiful young doggo.
The very beautiful young dog, is a segugio cross. Shes got the hounds tallish slim body shape. Lucy is a very sweet girl, she hates the crowded noisy shelter and she obviously prefers to be alone with her humans. She is friendly and has no issues with other dogs. We dont think she has any issues with anything to be fair, shes very kind hearted and sensitive. She would love to be in a home again cause shes now at the shelter. We 're posting these photos cause we haven't managed to take new ones yet. With all the pups we have, its going mental.
We would really love to see her in a home again. Lucy already was in a home and knows how to behave in one. Adoption fee applies as always and we wish her to find someone to love her the soonest cause shes worth it.

8/11/2022, thats when a double cabing truck stopped outside a small park next to church close to midnight and dumped 5 dogs. The owner didnt care that it was next to the church or in the village. He just got rid of his 5 dogs and drove away. Amares is one of those 5 dogs and unfortunately the only one that didnt find a home yet. After almost 2,5 years, hes still in a cages waiting patiently for a home.
Amares is a segugio/english pointer cross. He was 6-7 months old when he was abandoned in October 22. 26 months after that October, hes still in a cage making him live in a cahe for 3 years in total. How would you feel in you were 3 years in a cage? 3 years are more than a thousand days. 1000 days!!!!! Wouldnt you go crazy?? And yet hes still smiling and trying to cope with being bullied by other dogs cause hes too goofy.
We do love him and we want the best for him so we 're posting him every couple of months and sharing his posts all the time. As much as we post him though its like he doesn't exist. People just scroll down and ignore his post. Amares is obviously a gorgeous dog. Hes tall and has the segugio body shape. Now unfortunately hes underweight cause hes stressed. Like we said before, the other dogs bullly him and his pacing up and down all the time. When its play time he loves to run up and down but doesn't like to go in his cage. He tries to stay out and we cant blame for it. 😔 If he didnt hate the cats, we wouldn't mind letting him free around the farms area. But he hates cats and we have around 40 cays roaming free around the farm. 3 days ago he hurt his paw from scratching the door of his cage to go out. Hes on meds now but hes in pain. Thats why he holds his right front paw up. You can see that one of the fingers is swollen.
As we said many times, we wish we could click our fingers and find them a home in a second. With some dogs especially, we wantbto see them in a home sooooo bad. Amares is friendly, hes sociable, obedient, loves humans and hes fine with other dogs. Really why? Why cant he find a home?
If anyone is interested in this gorgeous boy, we are willing to reduce his adoption fee. Like with all our long term dogs at the shelter, Amares will have a reduced adoption fee. As long as he will find a family to love him and he will be happy, we will pay the vet fees ourselves and trust us its a quite big amount. For more infos, please message us.

Target succeeded. 16 cats caught and are neutered. It wasnt easy and it took two efforts to manage this. A huge thank you to the ladies from "Cans for cats" who came and did all the catching with their traps. We dont have any traps and equipment for catching cats so we depend on others for helping. This is what team work manages to do, this means no more kittens dying in the area these cats are caught.
Catching is over and paying starts. Yeap, we have to pay the neuterings which is not the easiest thing. These cats will not be rehomed so we wont get any adoption fees to cover the neuterings. Each cat is neutered for €50, 16 cats x50=€800. Thats a big amount and unfortunately money dont grow on trees, as much as we want it to. Would anyone help us with paying the vet? You can send to our bank account which is a verified rescue account. Also to our paypal which is [email protected] and we also have revolut account. If you prefer, we can send you the vets bank account, to us its the same things where ever the donation goes.

No doubt about it, pug/pincher crossbreed. Now that we 've taken Aspa to the shelter and saw her from close, theres no doubt about it.
Her body shape is like a bigger pug. Aspa has the pinchers size by the way, leggy but shes got that bulky chest and slim waist and behind. You know that kinda chubby like its bloaded chest? And she lies down on her knees? Everything around her can be crazy and she sits in the middle and smiles looking at you with a goofy way? Also sits and the edge of her tongue is sticking out of the teeth? Aspa obviously has an underbite due to one parent being a snubnose. When we put her in the mini dogs pen, we watched her to see what she was doing. She went and put her face in front of wooden fencing to see what was on the other side. Then realized that she cant see and stepped back. Then she went next and put her face again if front of the wood but she couldn't see cause exactly she was standing in front of the pieces of wood, not in front of the gap between the wood and have visibility. 🤷‍♀️ But she was happy when she found out that she could see from the gaps!! Shes a lovely girl bless her and its a shame she was abandoned.
Aspa is friendly with dogs, cats and humans of course. She was shy and kinda scared the first few hours. When we brought the can with the pate to give the minis their deworming, she was jumping up and down smiling as soon as she smelled the pate. Hopefully she will find a home the soonest cause shes a lovely girl. For more infos on adopting her, please message us.

He is a cutie. He is gorgeous little cutie and we hope that he will find a home the soonest. Meet Horatio, one of the small dogs that went to the pound last month. Yeap, dogs like this little boy are abandoned all the time here. We have 5 dogs under 6 kilos and Horatio is 7,5 kilos cause he loves food.
The doggy is a peki/kokoni mix and hes around 1-2 years old the max. You can see from the photos that hes a lovely boy, his eyes tell us about his sweet character. Hes not a barker, not a fassy dog and hes actually calm. Its obvious that he lived in a home cause he knows how to behave. When we give him a treat, he takes it from our hand very gentle. Who ever adopts this little one, will be really very lucky.
Horatio needs a foster or a forever home. Of course a forever home is much better so he wont be moving around all the time. He can be adopted abroad, not just in Cyprus. For foster homes yes it will need to be in Cyprus cause to send him abroad, it will need to be when we have a flight. For more infos, please message us. For applying to adopt, we can send you the form if you send us your email or you can download it from our website.

As every day, we saw this sweet lady in the morning. When it was time to clean her cage. 2 years after we got her, Nina is still in our shelter. Thats around 750 days, think about it. Being in a prison for that long. Her daughters were adopted and live happily in Uk with their families but this sweet lady still suffers in a cage. It doesnt matter if shes with us and we love her. A cage is not a home with a family to love her. A cage means shes not free, shes locked somewhere so yes, she suffers.
Nina, our sweet pointer/beagle lady has a common story for Cyprus facts. She was abandoned heavily pregnant and taken to the pound. Thats where we got her from. She was terrified and we knew she went through some really rough days. She was shaking like a leaf the first days. Now shes more socialised than before but shes still scared. Nina like all our dogs goes out for walks once a day, at play time. She runs and plays with other dogs around the fenced area. Thank god shes not a fassy dog, she runs up and down and when shes bored, she comes to us waiting for her food. She has a good recall when she wants to. As a beagle cross, she has selective hearing like a few other of our dogs.
Nina must be now around 5? 6? Years old? Not older but this small lady, has been through a lot in her life like most of the dogs we get. Things that made her still be afraid of people, especially if they are holding long sticks and they shout. We really with that we could erase such memories but we cant. We can only try to find them a loving home so they can be happy for the rest of their life.
Nina has a reduced adoption fee as we have a sponsor who wanted to help a few of our dogs, so sponsored their vet expenses. The only thing that will need to be paid as an adoption fee, is the travelling if adopted abroad. For local adoption, only half the fee will be asked. If anyone needs more infos in adopting, please message us. Nina is fine with other dogs and another dog will help her adjust and get better.
