Really, isnt it time for this big gorgeous boy to find a home? We took Dexter last January from the pound, when he was 4 months old. He was so sweet but so terrified. We dont want to know what his owner did to him but it made him so scared of people.
Dex was an oversize puppy who unfortunately was and is scared. He needed love, time and patience and thank god he found a foster home in Uk soon. His foster parents are a lovely couple who gave him what we couldnt at the shelter. His foster siblings helped him as well make his own steps. Our big boy is in Wales where he loves his walks in nature as you can see.
Dexter must be now around 27-30 kilos and over a year old. Hes large size as you can see in the video, a sweet and loving large baby. Another Scooby doo actually and it shows in his moves. To be honest, we believe he must be a large size breed like great dane crossed with a hound. Great dane would explain his clumsiness and size. Hes lead trained, toilet trained and is fine with children. Fine with dogs and cats and most probably with any animal.
After all these months improving, he needs a forever home. He definitely will need a confident dog friend in his new home. A big brother or a big sister will do wonders with his confidence. We hope that someone will love this big sweet boy cause he needs the chance. If you 're close, you can go visit this big boy to Aberystwyth. You will see yourself what we mean by saying another Scooby doo. For more infos about our adoption preocess, please message us. Dexter has a reduced adoption fee as he was sponsored for his vet expenses.
She has her moms kind character and the shepherds noble character. Rona is definitely a favourite since shes a shepherd girl. We said it before that have a huge soft spot towards shepherds and especially the big ones.
Gorgeous Rona is still at ther shelter with her sister Maria. Ivy was adopted and living the dream in the Netherlands since November. Unfortunately the 2 girls didnt have their sisters good luck so they live with us. Rona is the bigger in size than the 3 girls. Actually their brother was the biggest but the monster their owner shot him with their mom. 😔 Rona when full size will be around 30 kilos. Shes not huge size but she is tall. Shes got a beautiful body and markings. We love the brindle colour the girls have and its from their dutch shepherd mom.
Both girls are smart but what makes Rona more special is her character. Shes mature for her age, shes gentle. Shes what we call a gentle force. Who ever adopts her, will win a perfect dog. Rona if trained can be a therapy dog, a support dog. Shes calm and strong but not stubborn or dominant. We would love to keep her here as one of our dogs but its not fair on her. During the summer we have temperatures reaching 45c. Rona has her dads fur and she will suffer here. Every creature suffers here in the summer.
If anyone is interested in adopting Rona, please message us. Trust us you will win the jackpot cause shes an amazing character. Rona can be adopted abroad as well since we rehome to Europe.
Lil Mike is one of the smaller doggies we have. We got him 4-5 months ago from a hoarding situation with other siblings and ever since we 're trying to find him a home. Hes sociable as you can see, easy going, loving and cuddly. He wants so much to be free and belong in a family. It breaks our heart seeing him in a cage, hes only 5-6 kilos but so far no one was interested in adopting him. Can you help him? Share his post as he needs to find his own happy ending.

Another dog we see giving up. And for us that know Neri, that active lively dog that was playing and running all the time, now shes is not interested in almost anything any more.
Its a "feeling" we see in several of our dogs, the dogs that are in the shelter the longest. Almost all day in a cage, they go outside on playtime but thats around only half an hour a day. The rest days, they are in a cage. Nothing new, the same routine every day so theres nothing in life for these dogs. They lose interest, they give up and we cant blame them. 😔
Neri is a beautiful pure gp and unfortunately she still havent found a home. This is unbelievable for us cause gp find very easily homes. We have Neri just over a year now. Shes a beautiful young and active pointer girl. She loved running up and down, she still does when she has the chance to run.
Neri is an active 2 year old pointer, that looks outside the cage and sees herself running in the grass. For us she should 've been in fields running and sniffing her heart out. Not be stuck in a shelters cage. Shes healthy, sociable, friendly with dogs and humans. No cats though or birds or any other smallish animal she can see as a prey. Shes definitely a pointer so its dogs and humans.
Please help her find a home. Our sweet girl lost weight the last 2 months. She rarely eats all her food anymore. We were worried that she might have been sick and did her almost ell exams that exist but she is clear. Shes healthy, no issues. Shes just tired, shes fed up. She deserves a loving home from now own. Message us if you can help and give her a home. As always we ask for a homecheck. Her adoption fee is reduced due to having a sponsor that covered her neutering.

This starving super skinny pup is our newest addition. 😔He is another hound pup, a 6-7 months old blue de gascoigne pup. He was found wondering scared around the countryside trying to find something to eat. As you can see, his ribs are showing and he is scared.
What makes his case though so tragic? He doesn't have a tail, it was cυt by the looks of it. The couple that found him noticed that he didnt have a tail and tried to catch him cause he needed urgently help. His tail was bleedιng and it was freshly cυt. When we saw him after he was caught and taken to our vet, we felt so sorry for this scared pup. Either someone had intentionally cυt the tail as a punishment or his tail was caught somewhere and was cυt by accident. Seeing though from what point the tail was cυt, we believe someone was very barbaric.
The pup is barely 7 months old, whom did he hurt to deserve such pain? How brutal is that? Seriously our local hunters have a lot to answer for. The pup as we said above is a blue de gascoigne cross, hes a tallish slim doggy, very gentle and timid. He needs a foster home to relax and spend some time in a much more clean environment than a cage. If anyone in Cyprus can help, please message us. Its dangerous at the clinic with all those sick dogs. Seriously if anyone locally can help, we would be very grateful.
We got our peki family from the pound. Turns out the mom is a peki/kokoni mix and shes just 3-4 kilos, shes tiny. Her son is 5-6 kilos and hes also smallish. The mom is around 1,5 years old and the son 5-6 months old. Its a shame the owner didnt want them and got rid of them.
The 2 will be checked at the vet, have their vaccines if ok, do their blood tests and chip. Then they will be ready for adopting and we hope that will be soon. We dont want to take them up to the shelter cause its cold at night. The temperature started to drop at 10c and less which is cold for the dogs.
If anyone can help, with fostering or adopting, please message us.
We admit that we love her very much. We do have a huge soft spot for shepherds. Era is our princess, a queen. Shes impressive, shes noble, shes a stunning young dog.
When we first got Era, she was a bit scared but we expected it since she was with her family, her pack. In a few weeks thank god we saw a big transformation from her. She put her brave pants on and now she is full of confidence, knows her strength, her power. Era is the ruler of the cage, her pack. Shes their leader but shes not aggressive. She protects them but shes a strict mother to them. Shes all a shepherd is.
Of course Era is amazing with humans. She was born for humans and will protect them with her last breath. The guarding instict is strong with her family. Shes fine with other dogs if she meets them out but into dogs who gets in her face. Shes not the best with small animals and hates cats. We believe she would kill a cat if she has the chance. She can be adopted in a home with children and trust us she will be their shadow, she will be a mother for them.
Era would be best as an only dog or with another male dog. At her previous owner, the farmer, she lived with other dogs. She lived with males and females but they were her family, parents, siblings and pups so she was ok with them. This 2,5 year old lady has an amazing character and we would easily keep her with us if she didn't hate cats. You know that we have lots around the farms area.
If possible, Era needs to adopted in another country, not Cyprus. She needs cold weather and our small Cyprus is not cold, not even in winter. We have a very hot weather in summer and now in mid November we still have 25c and 28c some days. She lost her long fur during summer and still has shorter fur than she should have.
If anyone is interested in adopting this stunning girl, please message us. We would love to see her in a home in a colder country. She deserves it so much. Adoption fee and homecheck will apply as always.
Winston standing next to his favourite spot, the wire "wall". Hes always next to the wire watching the nature outside. He can sit there for ours just watching outside, being so sad. So disappointed for being locked and not able to run free. Winston or Winny is our english pointer boy. Hes with us since last christmas so its almost a year now. We saw him at the pound barely managing to stand and breathe and took him. Thank god we did cause he had very bad pneumonia and he would die if he stayed there more. He spend almost 3 weeks in the vet clinic on the iv with strong antibiotics back them. In almost one month, it will be almost a year nince we have him.
Now Winston is doing well, hes eating all his food, goes out on play time and runs like a loonie up and down. Only thing that excites him is to see a cat outside or a bird. Then he goes mental and starts barking cause he wants to go out and chase.
Our english pointer boy whos clearly an adult, loves sniffing and exploring nature like a genuine hound. He hates youngsters and when they jump on him but bless him hes very polite and gentle and never growledto anyone so far. Winny hates cats and attacks trying to kill. We know it and thats why hes in a cage and not free roaming in the place. He hates cats but loves humans and dogs so his new owner will need to keep an eye on this.
If anyone wants to adopt this boy, message us at the rescues page. Hes got adoption fee plus we do a homecheck.

🆘 ️🆘 Really urgent!!! ️🆘 ️🆘️
We have a family of 5 shepherd pups that need urgent help. The mom is an dutch shepherd female who we were feeding the last few months and trying to catch her. Unfortunately due to not having space, we were postponing it all the time. We were saying next week, then again next week until the worst happened.
The shepherd as you can see has a little family who are the cutest, 5 adorable babies and today our worst nightmare happened. The mom was found dead this morning, she was hit by a car. Who ever hit her, let her die without caring. The farmer that was helping us by feeding her when we couldnt, found her dead with her front legs and head badly hit. It was like run towards her and hit her full speed.
Now we need to help her pups cause they have no where to go. The farmer put them at a small corner where his sheeps are kept but thats not a safe place. They need somewhere else to go, much safer of course. Can anyone in Cyprus help with fostering or adopting? Its 5 pups and theres males and females. This is one of the shepherd families we were looking after this season. We have 4 in total litters of pups with 2 of them being full shepherd pups.
We beg you to help us help them. If anyone locally can help, please message us. Dont let them die. 😥
An update on this sweet lady that was at the vet so far. Augusta did her operation, she had her leg amputated unfortunately. There was no easy option of closing the wound somehow so she could walk.
Trust us we thought about all the options with our vet. About putting a prosthetic paw, about making a smaller paw but it wouldnt work. People would be afraid of the vet expenses if they adopted her and we dont blame them. So the simplest and easiest was to amputate her leg since she had such a big wound. You can see how Augusta was in you go check her photo album. Press the title of the post and facebook will take you to her album. It was a horrible cut and we couldn't possibly imagine the pain this poor girl suffered.
Her vet told us that shes walking without any problems with 3 legs which we all expected. She couldn't use the injured leg anyway so it was like having 3 legs some time now. So our beautiful girl can go in a home now. She needs a foster home in Cyprus if possible so she will have a home till shes adopted. We really dont want to take her to the shelter, the area is uneven cause we are at the side of the hilss. It wont be easy for her to walk. We hope that she will find people to love her and she wont get stuck. Please help her, give her a home.
Our goofy girl has arrived in her foster home and her first impressions were good as you can see. She can play on the grass, run around and be her daft self. Daisys foster home is in Lincoln, Uk and since shes fine, she needs now to find a home.
Our goofy girl loves of course to go for long walks in the countryside. To run, run and run. Shes got also prey drive which makes the possibilities of being a lurcher even bigger. At her previous home she lived with another large size dog who she adored. At the shelter, she lived with 2 dogs in her cage. She can live with other dogs but also and as an only dog. Daisy is smart and can be trained, she actually likes to do things that shows us the part of the working dog. We know that she grew up with young children so she can be adopted in a family with kids.
If you 're close to her, you can visit her our goofy girl. Shes of course lead trained and toiled trained. For more infos, please message us. Adoption fee will apply as always.
