SPCA Shelter Tour - 29 October 2022

During our SPCA’s 75th PAWTY… we’re running shelter tours! Yes, we heard you! It’s for ALL ages and not just kids. 🤭The tour will run from 10:30am to 4:30pm with a break between 1:00pm - 2:00pm for our animals to catch a breather. It will be walk-ins ONLY, no pre-registration is needed!

We received the worst news today- SLA is not extending the lease to our landlord and we will have to shift out by 28 Aug 2022.

Worst of all, we still have no place to go to. We are working closely with AVS-the remaining spaces in TAL(The Animal Lodge) are being allocated to all the AWGs(Animal Welfare Groups). We have been operating as an independent rescuer for the past 11years. Since 2018, in order to sustain our rescues and rental/expenses at our current kennel, we registered ourselves as a private limited to run the boarding space. Henceforth, we are being classified as ‘commercial.’ And vying for a commercial boarding space in TAL is totally beyond us, with the commercial breeders setting the bidding price at a rocket high.

We have tried approaching MPs and seeking other alternatives, all the options seem to bring us to a dead end.

Besides continuing to look for a space to house our dogs, we foresee that we will need a lot of financial resources for this to happen. Henceforth we are starting this fundraiser to accumulate sufficient funds for the relocation(we do not know the exact amount we will be needing yet as we have not found a space yet, we will update in the next posting once we have secured a space and we will know our targeted amount).
