Frankie, the Pitti Poo is a mini poodle, with a tiny touch of Pit Bull. He suffered serious abuse as He was just 2 1/2 months old. He loves them all!

Frankie, the Pitti Poo was turned into the Madera Animal Shelter in June of 2015 with a severe infection and wound from a rubber band that was wound 3 times tightly around his muzzle, cutting off his circulation and causing a very bad infection. Animal Shelter personnel saw the severity of the wound and quickly took him to Madera Veterinary Center to see if he could be saved. It was there that Fra

nkie would receive his life saving surgery from a wonderful staff of veterinarians and vet technicians that couldn't help but to fall in love with him. The tiny, 4 pound puppy, had to have over 50 stitches and take antibiotics to cure his infection. Frankie had such a fighting spirit and will to live that he pulled through the surgery better than anyone ever expected. The next few days were critical to his survival. Fortunately, that's all it took for Frankie to start playing and acting like a bouncy, bubbly little puppy again. If it weren't for a few scars and one tooth that didn't fully develop, you would never know that something so awful had happened to him. He was, and is, a true miracle and an inspiration to everyone who meets him. Frankie loves people and really seems to know that he was given a second chance. He is excited to say hi to everyone he meets, especially all the other fur kids, from little chihuahuas to great big Rottweilers and Great Danes. Frankie came to live with us in July and he has truly blessed our lives. Everyday he brings joy and happiness to our family, including his "big" sister, Holly, our 15 year old chihuahua. We are truly inspired by his resiliency and sweet, naturally happy personality, and we hope that you will be too.

Yesterday was Gotcha Day! It has been 7 whole years since I adopted Mom and Dad. They can't help but love me. Just look at me. I still got it! 😎
