Christmas morning with the dogs, they are very excited that Santa Paws, and Mamma got them good boy and girl gifts. Stay tuned for later when they open them! Lots of first Christmas here!

I’m feeling pretty OK today, my nerve block is wearing off, but I was able to make it out to the dog kennel to say hi to all the dogs. Tater was very concerned. I even helped scoop a little, but everyone was happy to see me. Quite drugged in these picturs tho😄

In September before dryland season started, I dislocated my shoulder and a tore some ligaments. I raced all season with it, but I had surgery today to fix the tears and unfortunately will be out the entire winter season. Roy Smith will be racing my dogs and training them. And I’ll be doing walking training with the puppies in harness. 6 months and I’ll hopefully be all healed for dryland season after the summer.

We will be doing sled dog tours this winter. We are partnering with Adirondack Kennel, to get enough dogs to run tours. Prices and info are listed on the website.

First dogsled run of the season, gonna wait a few weeks for the next sled run as the ground is not frozen, and the dogs feet got very wet. We tipped over too and the snowhook stabbed my knuckle, other than that it was a great run.

One of my favorite photos from last weekends freezing cold, wet race. My 4 dog rig team with Maple, Squash and Tank giving it their all. I was cheezing in the back in my burly boots and shorts! Why soak another pair of pants when you can wear shorts🤣

One of the muddiest, rainy races I’ve ever been to. Dogs had fun, but would prefer the next race to not be as wet.

Remi and Espresso had two great runs in two dog bike and we got 2nd, missing first by 8 seconds.

Tater had two solid runs in one dog bike, we got 11th overall.

In rig the dogs did great both days, the first day we lost time when they went over the caution tape down the wrong trail, and yesterday I only ran 3 because I’m still a bit shook up from our crash at Osceola, but Tank, Maplw and Squash powered through the mud and we had a clean run around the trail.

Cold, muddy and very wet runs today. In rig the leaders ran over the do not go this way trail and we had to get them turned around. Hoping for fast/ clean runs tomorrow. 2 dog bike we were were hauling today, and Tater powered through the slop fest in one dog bike.
