Hyde Park was the home our 32nd President, FDR, who was not only one of the most important political figures in our country’s history, but a farmer as well! FDR felt so strongly about the importance of local agriculture that his land is still farmed on to this day. As a farmer myself, I have watched the majority of the family farms in our area disappear, the land they once worked becoming homes, no longer providing for our community.
