When Bacon and his family came to live with us, they were malnourished and severely underdeveloped. We spoiled them to bits and while his parents and sisters grew into a semi-normal size, my Bacon Baby has stayed super-petite, weighing no more than our dog Hamilton does and standing 1/5 the height of my big, big pig Jingle. This has left me extremely concerned about him with the temps staying well below freezing, dipping into the negatives overnight, so I’ve done everything possible to keep him extra warm, last night covering his house door with a moving blanket. Brian was the first one to the farm this morning and found Bacon whipping the blanket around, and when he tried to take it away, Bacon started jumping around like a nut looking to play tug. The results are below, along with this dummy’s adorable mug. Apparently I shouldn’t be so worried about this mini monstrosity. 🤣🤣🤣

KNOW YOUR FARMER, KNOW YOUR FOOD! Not many realize that our farm is 2/3 woman-operated! Our incredible daughter Hannah is the future of Lasher Meadows, and every day she puts in the work needed to make our dreams come true. Hannah is my partner each day as we care for the animals that reside on our farm, from the normal chores of feeding and bedding to medical care to shoveling 💩, she is integral to our farmers market operations, and she’s a full-time college student! This woman does it all, and we couldn’t do any of this without her! Thank you, Hannah Lasher!!!!! Dad and I can’t wait to see where you and this farm go!!! 🚜👩🏻‍🌾🐓
