Street cats come in all sizes & colors. Some more fancy than others. ✨We were told these street cats are super fancy & rare. 💎 Diamond eyes, white gems, whatever you want to call them they are amazingly purrrfect. Vanilla & Meringue are about six months old, a bonded brother & sister pair.

All the way from Thailand we have the spectacular Khao Manee cat! 🪩 Right here in Union County, fancy street cats are a possibility! 😅 They bring so many smiles and purrs to our lives, we are hopeful to find a great adopter that will love this pair forever.

We have a happy update about Rigatoni aka Toni!! Last week when we picked up Toni he was in horrible condition, Forgotten Now Family rescue took him in and he received the care he deserved, which we are so grateful 🐈💕 Ways to donate 💰 to them are in the comments ⬇️

We were trying to neutrally work with the resident who allowed Toni to live in this condition because we trapped/picked up EIGHT other kitties from her property for our 40 cat TNR day. We wanted her to work with us to prevent countless other “Tonis” from being born, unfortunately this resident became extremely abusive to us through messenger, we felt we had no choice but to return her other cats unaltered. She even had the nerve to ask if Toni would be back after he recovered 🤯

We are a small group of three women who volunteer our time and often our own finances to better the lives of community cats. We want to help but under no cicumstaces will we tolerate abuse and disrespect in any form. The community member we tried to help has been blocked and hopefully she finds a way to help her many cats 😔

We reserve the right to decide how we spend our time, if you’re not willing to work with us to help your community cats we may be unable to help you. This includes:
💥feeding when we ask not to
💥providing fresh, clean water is a must
💥Refusing to spay pregnant cats
💥being asked to bring your healthy/social kittens to the shelter, we typically cannot take in kittens.

MEGA SPAY DAY HAS ARRIVED 🎃 Today 40 cats will no longer be making more of themselves all over the county 🙌🏼. Mega spay days are our favorite as we feel the collab with Spay Neuter NC, Inc. & Monroe Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic have the biggest impact as larger numbers can be done in ONE day!

👻It is scary how many kittens would have been born just to suffer if spooky mega spay day didn’t happen. 🧙‍♀️

Friends, last week we found ourselves in a terrible situation with a community member who allowed a friendly cat she was feeding to live in horrific condition. It was late in the day, our usual clinics were closed, and we don’t have an account for major medical at an after hours vet. We reached out to an amazing local rescue that has taken on countless major medical cases.

Forgotten, Now Family Rescue, without pause, jumped to take Rigatoni (Toni) into their care. Kym and Dana rushed him to CARE in Charlotte where he underwent an emergency eye enucleation surgery, they tried to save his other eye which has now ruptured. They have to close intake due to Toni’s medical bills currently standing at $7500. Please donate to Toni’s care 🙏🏼🐈 🙏🏼

As a result of the community cat work we do, we do wind up with kittens. When our rescue partners have room, they’re more than willing to take in kittens that we find while out TNRing. We want to show some love to one of our CSC followers during a tragic time. Haley Bade is a huge animal lover and continues a difference in so many furr babies lives. Haley and her fiancé had a house fire this past week and lost all their cats and sugar gliders 💔🪽. Devastated doesn’t even begin to explain all the emotions they are feeling in this moment.

Meet this sweet girl Dasha 🌟. Dasha was from one of our TNR properties and as you can see she needed her eye 👁️ evaluated.

Today the Doctor confirmed what we expected and Dasha will need to undergo eye removal as her eye is ruptured.

Surgery is scheduled for 9/22 and looking for donations to help the cost of removal. Our estimate is between $200-$175 (pictured). Once healed we will be looking for a forever 🏡 home for this SWEET doll baby.

Let’s take a moment to talk about how microchips bring animals back home ✨🙌🏼

This is Bessie, she was a daily visitor at a gas station in Union County, while customers and employees enjoyed her visits, management felt it was best she be relocated. One of our CSC girls stepped in and grabbed her in hopes to have her spayed and find her a loving home.

She was brought in to check for a spay scar and was found with a MICROCHIP 🎊. When looking up the information Bessie went missing in October 2022. We now had the owners name, address but no active number.

After a day of searching we found her owner who reported her missing with the microchip company but never had any luck finding her newly adopted girl.

Bessie was found 15 miles from where she went missing and was reunited with her person today after almost a YEAR of being missing.

Velvet update! Our girl will be ready for her forever in a few short weeks, we’ve rarely seen a kitty enjoy their bath time SO much, it’s a good thing to because she’s sure getting them often enough. Ideally we would LOVE to find the PURRFECT home for Velvet and her equally lovely sister, Plush. Plush is a doll, she has shown no signs of ringworm but has been receiving anti-fungal baths as well as a preventative so they can stay together

Update: “Layla”, originally Bessie was check for microchipped and was thankfully reunited with her owner. She was missing for 11 months 😮. MICROCHIPS WORK✨

This SWEET girl is Layla, she took up vacancy at a local Gas station and after about 2 months was told she could no longer stay.

Layla will be UTD on vaccinations and spayed this week. We are looking for a loving outdoor home. Layla seems to be obsessed with outside as this is probably all she’s ever known. She could be indoor too but we feel a outside option would best fill her cup. As you see all she does is want to love you.

Please consider Layla, she’s just as deserving as any other kitten ❤️

We have a sad update, Freddie was seen by one of our trusted Veterinarians this morning and we received hard news. Freddie had tumors in both ears, his eardrums were likely ruptured underneath, it was also determined that he was an older kitty, over 10 years old. There was no treatment that would guarantee Freddie a pain free life so we made the decision to lovingly let him go. Humane euthanasia was the most compassionate choice for this sweet boy. Freddie was a neutered male, his whole body was scanned for a microchip and none was found.

We are taking comfort that he did not pass alone and in pain outside, he had a name and Kym stayed with his as he breathed his last breath.
He was given a bath and cleaned up, he was also given a cozy bed and the best of the best wet food to enjoy. Last night he started purring and even made biscuits in his cozy bed. We loved Freddie in the less than two days he had with us and we believe he knew that. He will have his final resting place at one of our homes.

This morning we have an important PSA. Yesterday we took in a kitty from a community member, he was in horrible condition. We’ve named him Freddie, Freddie was delivered to us in a bungie cord tied tote box, lethargic and dehydrated. He’d “shown up” on a property and waited for over three weeks, in pain while a resident looked for SOMEONE to come get him and take responsibility for his condition.

This resident was 100% capable of taking this cat to our county shelter, even humane euthanasia is a better option than allowing an animal to suffer while you sit by ”praying” for there to be a SOMEONE to help them.

WE, any of us, can be the SOMEONE to help an animal who is suffering, we’ll never understand how anyone could walk past an animal in need day after day and feel helpless to do anything, unable, unwilling to do anything. We need to do better.

🩵TURNIP WAS ADOPTED🩵

This HANDSOME guy is Turnip ✨ He was trapped (while trying to get his momma) with a huge, infected wound on his neck. He was scared & confused, not used to humans. Now after weeks of treatment he’s looking so much better and starting to look for his forever! Turnip is SO affectionate, purrs constantly & wants to be with his human. We have loved watching him heal and blossom into a social kitten who is very thankful people didn’t look the other way.  If interested in this lovable fella shoot us a message.

With our area experiencing extreme heat, please make sure the outside kitties you feed have a clean, reliable water source in a shady spot. Dehydration can cause constipation and heat stroke, among other medical conditions and stagnant water can spread disease. Thank you for caring for community cats 🐈‍⬛🐈💧💧💧
