Hi everyone,

I’m sad to say there was an incident last week. In the several years I’ve been based on Bellerton Lane I’ve never had a single problem. However, last week I had a few items stolen from my shop by a man that was passing by. Nothing of significance stolen, just slightly shaken up and upset by it, but I’d still like to make some extra safety protocols going forward. There is already CCTV outside which covers the surrounding areas, but I now have an automatic lock on the shop door installed, to stop anyone from walking straight in. As you all know I work on my own, so just for my own peace of mind the door will remain locked. When you arrive please knock on the door and I will open the door using a buzzer.
I have air conditioning for the days we have any hot weather and the shop is always quite cool anyway.
Going forward, please bear with me if you have to wait a moment for me to get to the buzzer. I may be tending to a dog, the dogs safety is paramount.

Hi everyone,

I’m back in work now after a nice break ☺️

This is just a post to let you all know since returning to work I have made the decision to close my books to new customers ☹️ I’m at full capacity again and not able to fit everyone in. I appreciate you all recommending me to friends, neighbours and families 🥰 but for the time being my books will be closed.

A note to my customers, I have appointments 16th June onwards 🗓️ thank you all for your patience whilst I work my way through my list of customers. If you haven’t heard from me yet I’m sifting through as quick as I can!

Also, for everyone who’s been in or due in this week, please make sure all payments are sent before Friday. It takes quite a bit of time having to go through all payments and sending reminder texts.

Hi everyone,

Bit of a long one today sorry guys 🙃

I have no appointments left now until 20th May and May is almost booked up.

A lot of you already know, I don’t work Fridays or Saturdays. I might once in a blue moon sneak the odd customer in on one of these days as a last resort. However, without going into too much detail just yet, I am planning to start a new training course over the summer. This will mean I won’t be able to work any Fridays or Saturdays going forward as these will be my training days (which could possibly be London based learning)
My working days are ✨Monday to Thursday, 9.30-5.15 (the latest appointment in the day being 3.30) ✨
In the past I’ve managed to sneak dogs in here and there at short notice, but unfortunately with training days in the pipeline very soon I won’t be as flexible for the foreseeable. I am now booking up 4 weeks in advance. So going forward I strongly recommend booking your next appointment before leaving the shop 😀

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to make everyone aware as I’m trying my best to be organised and to give everyone plenty of notice. I’ll be away on holiday 4th May - 12th May (last day working 2nd May and back in work the 13th May)
I will be on a Cruise, most of the time at sea, therefore I wont have any signal or Wi-Fi so wont be able to check my texts, voice messages or Facebook messages. Please don’t be alarmed if I don’t reply that week, I’ll reply to all messages when I’m back home 🙂

Currently, I only have spaces in April…
10th, (11th fully booked) (16th fully booked) 18th
23rd, 24th, 25th, 30th

It really is advised to book in advance now that most of my customers are booking their next appointment in advance.

Hi everyone!

Just a couple of things to mention tonight…

Firstly… Bank Transfers!

For anyone who sends bank transfer as payment, when sending money please can you add your dogs name on the reference details 😀 it makes it much easier to match up the payment to the customer. I don’t always recognise surnames on the accounts and paperwork/accounting is not my strong suit! Also, please can payments be sent on the day of the appointment (or day before, I have a few customers who kindly pay me the day before, thank you 🥰) I’m finding more and more customers are forgetting to send payment, sometimes up to a week late ☹️ which again makes it difficult matching up the payments at the end of the week.

Secondly… tomorrow is mine and Keylees last working day together. I’m feeling very sad, but so happy for Keylees new chapter 🔑 I will warn you all in advance, now that I’ll be working on my own going forward, I will probably be singing to your dogs 😆🥰 I apologise in advance if you hear me when entering the shop!

Thirdly… a few exciting changes will be happening over the next couple of months. I will keep everyone updated as they develop!

Ps - I had to add a video of Betsy and Jäger who both enjoy a good sing along too 🥰😆❤️

Keylee is officially moving to her very own premises based in Milton 🤗

I’m extremely sad to be losing her, but she’s now ready to go on her own 🙂 I will continue to support her every step of the way.

🔑 After just over 3 years working in Norton, i've had the opportunity to move my little business to my own salon in Milton 🌳

As you've noticed i've changed my business name from Shear Elegance Dog Grooming to Tails of Milton 🐶

I'm hoping to be moved in & open from March 12th! I'll be messaging all my clients over the coming days with more details.

💖 Thank you to every single one of my 200 😱 clients for supporting me & helping me build my little business, I've been grooming for almost 10 years & i never thought id be get here & it wouldn't be possible without you. Thank you for choosing me to pamper your fur babies.

As a dog groomer, I often get asked ‘What is your favourite breed to groom’ and to be totally honest I haven’t got a favourite breed as such. However! I absolutely LOVE doing a deshed on shorter haired dogs 😀 there’s nothing I love more than seeing dead coat come out 🤩 on some occasions it looks like it’s snowing hair in the shop. But yes, even the shorter haired dogs benefit from a bath and dry 🚿

In the picture this was from just the drying, there was so much more hair once I’d started brushing on the table! Can anyone guess the breed?! 🐶

Hey everyone!

Not sure if anyone else has noticed but it’s starting to stay a little bit lighter now at night 😀 roll on summer ☀️

Just a few things I need to make everyone aware of…

Unfortunately we’re finding it really difficult to keep up with the ever rising costs of running a business, therefore there will be a price increase. I’ve already started to let customers know who have been in the shop this month, as prices will be increased based on breed/individually so please message me if you’d like to check or have any questions. I will be letting you all know at your next appointment or by text/Facebook message.

Im sure you’re all sick and tired of me saying ‘it’s best to book in advance’ but it is extremely busy at the moment. I only have a handful of appointments left for February. Please book in advance to ensure I can get you booked in. I’m no longer able to offer same week appointments. My next availability is now 19th February.

A lot of my customers have started to book in advance 🙂 which is great! That means I only have a couple of slots left each week now up until mid February. I’ve been taking on new customers recently, so I don’t have a lot of flexibility at the moment. It’s best to book in advance when possible.

Benji came for his first groom today 🥰 a puppy groom to start with ✂️

Puppy grooms are £30 and consist of a bath, dry, brush and nail clip if needed. Also included is a feet, face and bum trim when required (dependant on breed) In this instance Benji didn’t need a face trim. He was so well behaved. I can’t wait to see him grow ❤️

Today I’m back in work as normal 😀 But just wanted to update you all. A local dog groomer is having a difficult time at the moment and has reached out to see if I can help out at all. And of course I said yes, I don’t like to see anyone struggle. This could mean I may have a slight influx of customers coming in over the next month or so. If any of my customers want to book in over the next few weeks please let me know as soon as possible just to ensure I can get everyone in. I don’t want to miss anyone out or let anyone down. As always I will try to accommodate the best I can if it becomes extremely busy.

This is just a post to say that December is now fully booked 🎄🎁🎅🏻 I’ll be opening again January 2nd onwards. Please be mindful that the first week of January is already filling up.
