We managed to celebrate our ten year anniversary at The Borderland with at least four surprise gigs last week.

We played for a giant pine cone (that is not a pine cone, but the art piece ”Protea” by the fantastic Annie Locke Scherer), hundreds of mosquitoes, a kind gentleman who gave us a yellow kazoo and many wonderful Borderlings, old and new friends.

Semi-important announcement: We have now officially changed name from ”Slave To Nothing” to ”Quantum FOMO”. .

We are also keeping the old name ”Slave to Nothing”. So nothing has changed?! Yes! If nothing has changed, that means that everything also has changed!!!
Are you confused? Great. We are most likely even more confused.

Here is a great Quantum FOMO moment (FOMOment?!) at The Borderland. We are doing one of our favorite activities; carrying a ridiculous amount of equipment back and forth.

Thanks to all Borderlings who managed to find us and danced to our troubleshooting / performance sessions.

Extra kudos to Filip(?!) and his friend who managed to listen to us when we played at Ivans Pilsnerbar (non-official underground gig with headphones) _and_ find us playing at The Borderland. That takes some serious serendipity skills!

We are still Slave to Nothing, but in a parallell universe we are not.

These are the tour dates for the Music for the mosses whirl tour 2024.

During The Borderland, we will celebrate our ten year anniversary and during a very intricate ritual that we haven’t figured out yet we will change name to Quantum FOMO.

Last Saturday, Quantum Foamo played at the smallest stage so far. A high threshold, low ceiling gig. The ”dance floor” had room for four people. The only eay to access the floor was to press a covered button on the elevator. Speak easy / play easy.
Thank you to the wonderful hosts and the 15 people that saw us perform and did a fantastic job dancing while sitting on the floor :).

Yesterday, we had a really great time at Ivan’s Pilsnerbar. Great atmosphere, people, food and beer made us unable to resist the urge to hook up a few synths and some disco lights in a corner and have a small improvised headphone gig.

I was delighted how well we were recieved by the staff and Mr. Ivan himself and all the curious people that wondered what we were doing and why we seemed to have such an awesome time. 🙂.

On the other if nothing really mattera, then we will stick to nothing (because it obviously matters).

Quantum physics shows that there is no such thing as "nothing." Even in a vacuum, particles can blink into and out of existence.
