GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations)
As you will no doubt be aware, the introduction of the GDPR on 25th May 2018 represents the biggest change in data protection legislation for 20 years and will be implemented in the UK.
In order to ensure Acorns to Oaks Forest School is compliant with the forthcoming legislation, I want to clearly set out the reasons why we need to collect, hold and process personal data and how long we will hold the data for.
The data collected on our consent forms is treated with the strictest confidence. The personal information collected is only used by Acorns to Oaks Forest School to enable us to provide forest school sessions that are appropriate and cater for the individual. This sensitive information will only be passed onto the emergency services in the unlikely event of hospitalisation. Personal information is not passed on to anyone else, for any purpose. All consent forms are shredded after 12 months or sooner.
Email addresses are only used for alerting customers of upcoming events and dates, or if we need to contact you. Phone numbers are only used if we need to contact you regarding a booking or an emergency.
As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
All the best,
Mary Haynes
Level 3 Forest School Leader
