At the canine club

There will come a point when your dogs haircut will be mainly determined by them x

Getting older affects them just as much as it affects us.....

Joints become stiff, skin becomes thin and we become grumpy and moody ! (Well, Hannah does anyway 😳)

When this time comes, grooming styles will always be made with your pups comfort as the ultimate deciding factor!

A comfort groom will not be a show groom, odds are it will not be perfect, we do what we can to keep your dog comfortable, relaxed , calm and happy.

Here is 14 year old Poppy having her comfort groom requested by her Dad ❤️, she loved our new beds and was snoring away 💤💤🐶❤️



Now go and hug your pup and cherish those grey whiskers, smelly breath and sloppy tongues ❤️

Puppy grooming at The canine club 🐶❤️

As woody has visited us for his puppy grooms he is an absolute super star 🌟 and completely relaxed with us and our surroundings 🧘‍♀️

Unfortunately, and us as dog groomers have no idea why...... but some breeders say to wait until your cockapoo or poodle cross is 8 - 12 months for their first groom!!

This is not the case.... please bring your puppies in for a social visit and bath and blow dry from 3-4 months to help them get used to salon life, noises, smells, handling etc.

If you wait until later the chances are that your poodle cross with have to have a very stressful shave off or we will unfortunately refuse to take on your pup if it’s too old ( 12 months +) ☹️

Puppy introductions are absolutely essential to your new pups life 🐶✂️

Puppy salon introductions = 3 months

Bath, blow dry and nail trim = 4 -6 months

Bath, blow dry, feet, face and sanitary areas, nail trim = 5 - 7 months

1st full hair cut = 6-8 months

We are always completely honest about your dogs experience with us and truly want your pup to have the best possible time and relationship with us 👍
