Today starts Saving Senior Dogs Week 🐾❤️
If the plight of senior dogs in shelters breaks your heart or if you have a senior dog in your home, and know how wonderful they are, please read all the info below and consider making a donation. No matter how large or how small, it will help many senior dogs across the US! 💝🐶

🔹"SSDW is a National Senior Dog Awareness Campaign to benefit Senior Dog Rescues in the United States.

🔹Our goals are to raise public awareness to the plight of homeless senior dogs, the joy of adopting them, + to support existing senior dog rescue organizations in the USA.

🔹At the end of the campaign, 75% percent of the funds raised will be divided equally among the participating senior dog rescues. The remaining 25% will go into a Saving Senior Dogs Week Grant Fund to help new senior dog rescues get started.

🔸🔸The first Saving Senior Dogs Week Grant has been awarded (August 2020) to Daisy Lu Ranch Senior Dog Sanctuary in Camarillo, CA for medical care for their senior dogs.

✨100% of the funds will go towards saving thousands of homeless senior dogs!✨

❤️ Update: Miraculously, Sabre has survived!!! What a tenacious little boy! He spent almost 4 days in the ER and another 3 weeks recovering in South Carolina with a very attentive mom, and a hospice vet and on 9/11 Stephanie and Sabre flew home to San Diego!!! ❤️❤️❤️

🆘🆘🆘 PLEASE HELP🆘🆘🆘

Senior boy, Sabre, my buddy, is at an Emergency vet in South Carolina. He is very ill, lonely and scared and his Mama, Stephanie, is in tears with worry and concern for her baby as the vet bills rise and they still don’t have an answer as to why he suddenly has extremely elevated kidney values.

Most of us pet parents have been in Stephanie’s place at one time or another... wouldn’t you do everything in your power to help your furbaby?

I have done all I can to help and now we need the support of other doggie 🐶 lovers to help us out.

If you heart drops like mine at the challenge they are facing, please do anything you can to help.

15 year old Sabre was enjoying being on vacation with his mom, and is now at the emergency vet fighting for his life with extremely elevated kidney values and no answers as to the cause, leaving his Mom, Stephanie (my dear friend) worried & heartbroken!

Bonnie Sue did well during her surgery last week and iz recovering nicely but da rescue has decided to not let Bonnie come back to Mama, she iz to stay with the medical fosters 😡
Mama iz very sad and heartbroken 💔 and thinks da Rescue iz being a big old meanie, as she loves Bonnie Sue very much and would like to possibly adopt her when she iz cleared medically. Please send positive thoughts and love that da rescue will change their mind and Bonnie will get to come back da Mama❤️

Mama's new Foster Bonnie Sue is doing good. She haz some medical issues that will need to be taken care of but Mama will make sure she is well cared for.
Bonnie Sue got a haircut and she was cold so Mama let her wear my Angel sister Snow's Supergirl T-shirt 😉

Mama iz fostering a new senior gal named Bonnie Sue. She iz tiny like me but my legs were much longer, Bonnie Sue iz a low rider. Mama sees a resemblance in her face cuz it iz tiny like mine, but she is the colors of my Earthly brother Amani.

I had a dream of my Angel Snow last night, (she transitioned in Feb). In the dream she was a monarch butterfly with beautiful orange and black wings, and she was with my Rita and Brianna too!
They were all beautiful butterflies that flew right towards me and landed on my face and chest and tickled me. As I realize it was them, my heart filled with joy. They all spent time with me and flew off one by one except for Snow, she stayed with me all day and let me share her beauty with everyone I met and then flew off when the day was done. Thank you for visiting me in my dream, You are all beautiful butterflies! 😋🐾💜

I brought Brianna's fur suit to Graceful Departure Pet Center for aftercare. She will be cared for using a process called aquamation.
The staff were very compassionate and understanding and they have a memorial wall full of butterflies! I added one for Brianna and one for her fur sister Snow, that passed in February this year and they are now soaring high with their new wings together! 😇💕

Thank you friends. Many hugs of gratitude to you all. She passed very quickly in my arms at the vets with my voice being the last thing she heard and my kiss being the last thing she felt. She was very loved by many ❤️All of us know how difficult making the choice to let them go is, but I know it was time, her body was tired and was no longer serving her ❤️
She touched many lives and will always be remembered.
Thank you for traveling this Journey with us 💜

Although Brianna rallied and had a good day on Saturday, she declined rapidly on Sunday and had at least eight seizures, overnight she had a few more & they increased in severity. She is very weak and can not stand or walk very well and is not interested in eating or drinking, is very congested and is having difficulty breathing.
It is time.
Today I will say goodbye and help this little Itty Bitty Old Btty on her journey across the Bridge and release her beautiful energy and love from a body that is no longer serving her.
I love you Brianna Marie.
